How to Make Earrings from Leftover Fabric: DIY
Hi dearies!
First of all, a BIG thank you to all of you for making me and my mum so happy with your lovely comments on my OOTDs ๐ Today, I will be sharing another super easy DIY with you all. All you will need for this pair of earrings are :
1. Any leftover piece of fabric ( you can collect these for free from your tailor, or lucky ones like me can ransack their mummyโs sewing kit )
2. A piece of aluminium wire.
3. Beads of your choice.
4. Card paper ( I chose my Garnier BB creamโs empty box).
5. Scissors.
6. Needle.
7. Fevicol.
Step 1. Cut out two square pieces from the card paper. They can be as big or small as you desire.
Step 2. Cut out appropriate length of fabric. It should be wide enough to wrap the paper square completely.
Step 3. Apply glue on the paper.
Step 4: Start wrapping the fabric and stick it on the paper with the glue.
Step 5, 6, 7, 8:Next is just plain wrapping just as you would wrap any gift box ๏ refer to the pics for details
Step 9, 10: Wrap the other ends too like this.
Step 11: Cut out two palm length wires and keep aside. Punch holes into the squares using a needle. To make sure that the holes are at the same place, I would suggest punching holes in both the squares together
Step 12: Put the wire through the punched hole.
Step 13: Make a loop at one end of the wire.
Step 14:ย Bend the end of the other side slightly. This will make sure that the beads donโt move up and down. See the pic:
Step 15: Put the beads through the wire. I have used green and red beads just because my fabric is green.
Step 16: Finally, slightly bend the straight end of the wire.
You are done!
This is how it looks on me. I am sorry, I didn’t have the patience of putting on make up( not even a lip balm! Lazy me). Bear with the pics.
Advantages of this pair of earrings:
1. Super light on ears
2. Easy on pocket
3. Takes just about 10 mins to make.
