1. Retinol can be your skin’s best friend

You can search for retinol comprising cleansers and face washes in the market which you can choose from. Retinol helps in getting rid of all the toxins from your skin and also unclogs your pores and makes them less visible. For best results, massage your face with a retinol based cleanser for about one minute in the circular motion, rinse off and pat your face dry. Other than Retinol, Benzoyl Peroxide, Sulfur, and Salicylic Acid are some of the ingredients that you should look for.

2. Exfoliate

Unclogged pores can sometimes form due to dead and damaged skin cells on your skin. To get rid of dead skin, use a mild walnut and apricot based scrub regularly and say goodbye to unsightly blackheads and clogged pores. Scrubbing also brightens up your complexion and improves blood circulation on your face. Some of the best scrubs available in the market are Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub, Lush Ocean Salt Facial and Body Scrub and The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator.

3. Blackhead removal strips

Using blackhead removal strips can give you an instant relief from clogged pores on your nose and also clarify them by cleaning from deep within. Use charcoal based blackhead removal strips for optimal results and best outcomes. Some best blackhead removal strips available in the market are Biore Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips, Tony Moly Seedless Strawberry Nose Strips and Nivea Visage Refining Clear Up Strips.

4. Use a toner regularly

Using a toner regularly reduces the oil-production, keeps the bacteria off your face and from your pores, preventing them from becoming clogged in the first place. Put some toner on a cotton ball and massage your face lightly with it after you wash your face with your daily cleanser. However, always remember to use a moisturizer after using a toner, as toners can sometimes be a little harsh on your skin and dry it out. Some of the best toners out there are Lotus Herbals Basiltone Clarifying and Balancing Toner and VLCC Punarnava Astringent.

5. Lemon juice

Being acidic in nature, lemon juice works on problematic clogged pores like magic and makes all your blackheads and whiteheads pop out too. Use lime juice regularly on clogged pores for about a week and soon you will notice that your pores are much clearer and appear smaller and have shrunk noticeably in size. However, some people who have sensitive skin may find that lime juice irritated their skin and turn it a bit red. In order to ensure that you are not allergic to lemon juice, do a little patch test on your elbow and proceed with caution.

6. Azelaic acid

Get your dermatologist to write a prescription for azelaic acid for you and you may use it regularly on your skin, as directed, to unclog the clogged pores and ward off acne and pimples. Azelaic acid normalizes the production of oil in your sebaceous glands and works like a charm for oily-skinned ladies by giving them a clearer skin.

7. Use a sunscreen regularly and protect your face from the sun

Try to stay indoors on a particularly sunny day and use a high sun protection sunscreen to protect yourself from the harsh rays of the sun at all the times. Excessive sunshine can make your oil-glands produce oil like crazy which in turn clogs your pores and make them more prominent. You can also use fashion accessories like big sunglasses and a summer hat to make a statement in summer and yet stay protected from the glaring rays of the sun. Sunscreens, with high SPF content available in the market, that are worth a try are Clarins Sunscreen Multi-Protection Broad Spectrum SPF 50, Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Sunscreen and Lakme Sun Expert UV Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50.

That’s all for today, girlies! Hope this helps.
