Miss Claire Glimmersticks For Lips – Mild Maroon and Rust
I have been charged guilty of flaunting the Miss Claire Eyeshadows here on IMBB and making so many of you hunt down your local markets for this brand. 😀 I did not know such an affordable, timepass brand could make such nice products and I had bought them all at one go before leaving Pune. Our Pune readers can find this brand in the Beauty Center there, but for others, I know many of you could find these in Kolkata too and Mumbai of course has it. So here goes some other good recommendations for fun, affordable makeup, something like ELF Cosmetics, but this one is never a miss!
I got some eye pencils too and a couple of lip pencils in shades that would go with most of my lipsticks because I mostly wear rusts and beiges. So, I read the name Mild Maroon and Rust and picked them up.
The Mild Maroon is not maroon at all and it is more of a rust than the Rust pencil. The Mild Maroon had very mild frost to it and is definitely glazy and not matte. The pencil is unbelievably creamy and pigmented for the price I paid (Rs. 50!!). The color is more of a mild shimmery copper for me and goes well with colors like L’Oreal Endless Boundless Bronze if you remember my review last week. The pencil itself is huge, wooden and not retractable, so I can keep them crisp always.
They are very smooth, creamy, pigmented, stays well and lasts long enough. These do not bleed, but do not set either like the BH cosmetics lip pencils set after application. These ones are just like Lakme or say Maybelline ones, but even better, these never drag.
The Rust color is more of a pink brown and not rust :star: The color is a little glazy and has very very mild shimmer to it. The color is so gorgeous that I wish it was matte. It goes on well with my lipsticks like Almond Ice from Lakme, overall nice, smooth, not crumbly, not draggy, but glides on well, I quite like it.
Would you believe me if I say these are better than the Maybelline Colorsensational Lip liner in Velvet Beige I got last month which are just above average? No, you wouldn’t, okay then take a look for yourself, the Maybelline one has no shimmer, but can drag a little, whereas these Miss Claire ones are softer, creamier and pigmented than the Maybelline one!
Last Word on Miss Claire Glimmersticks For Lips – Mild Maroon and Rust:
If you can find this brand, GET THEM all, but the only problem is that the shop owners will label their own price tag for them. I got them for Rs. 50 each, can’t say what would be your bargain (it did not cause any irritation on my sensitive lips).
