Coloressence Liquid Lip Color – Maroon Dust
Hi Beauties,

Today, I am going to review Coloressence Liquid Lip Color in shade Maroon Dust. This is a real cool product I should say. I was looking at the lip glosses at the Streetwear counter when the nearby SA convinced me to try this product. At first, I was intrigued by the fact that how can a gloss be of such a deep color. Then, I read about the product and found out that these are liquid lip colors. I was immediately interested as I have super dry lips and hence was thoroughly excited by this liquid lip color.
Product Description:

A moisture-rich formula to give glossy effect to the lips. Available in different colors and can be used directly or on top of the lipstick to add richness in the color. 100% veg. No animal ingredients.
Ingredients:
Castor Oil and Basil Extract.
Price and Packaging:
Rs. 115 for 2.5 ml, pretty impressive.
The packaging is quite classy for the price. The outer black cover is neat and the inner tube is sturdy. It comes with a wand tip applicator which glides smoothly.
My Experience with Coloressence Liquid Lip Color – Maroon Dust:
Well, I got this product on a “trial and error” attitude and that’s why I took the maroon shade as it is wearable for all occasions on my pigmented lips, but when I tried this product, I was pleasantly surprised. This gives a sheer color with a tint of maroon when applied just once. So, it can be used as a lightly-tinted gloss over any dark color lipstick.
To actually get the color on, it takes 2 or 3 swipes of color, which can be worn on bare lips to get a beautiful “the very Indian” maroon color. So, I have a two-in-one gloss and lipstick in the same product. The texture is very smooth and the pigmentation is really good. The staying power depends on how it is used. If used as a gloss, then it fades away in 2 to 3 hours leaving a slight maroon tint.
Swatches: On hand, single and multiple swipes. On lips in artificial light.
Pros of Coloressence Liquid Lip Color – Maroon Dust:
- Moisturizing lip gloss great for dry lips.
- Can be used as a gloss with one swipe over other dark shade lipsticks.
- Fades away leaving a beautiful shade of pinkish-maroon.
- Very economical at Rs. 115
- It is completely odorless.
- Available in a lot of shades.
Cons of Coloressence Liquid Lip Color – Maroon Dust:
- It is a little sticky, but that’s because of the moisturizing effect.
- The lasting power is not much when applied in a single swipe.
Overall, I am in love with this product. It might not match other high-end lipsticks, but if you are pocket tight and want to try some cool shades, then this is a great product. I am definitely going to try more shades from this range. Also, will surely repurchase this shade.
Thanks for reading. Please try this product and let me know your take on it!
P.S.: My 5 month old son was always smiling at me when I wore this in front of him! Appreciate karne wala husband nahin to son hi sahi!
