Essence Lipstick in Glamour Queen Review

Hi Everyone,

I am here again with the review of an Essence Lipstick in the shade “Glamour Queen.” Every girl would connect to this shade name and I too liked the name “Glamour Queen.” Let’s continue with the review.

Product Description:

Lovely lips: intense and subtle shades guarantee a fabulous splash of color on your lips. The color-coded packaging in the exact same color as the lipstick, makes reaching for your favorite shade even easier.

INR 249 for 4 grams.

My Take on Essence Lipstick in Glamour Queen:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a color corresponding body. There is a transparent rim around the bullet body, on which the brand name is printed. The cap shuts with a click and doesn’t get loose with time, so it is very handy. There’s also a color coded sticker at the bottom of the shade. Shade identification gets very easy with the fully color coded body, especially when you have too many of these lipsticks.

Shade: Glamour queen is a neutral mauve brown shade, with some pinkish undertones. This lipstick has tiny flecks of shimmer in it, which gives a mild frostiness to the color. Even though the color has a frosty sheen it gives my lips a beautiful shine. This is a very ‘mlbb’ kind of shade and would suit every skin tone. The shade is similar to any Nude shade lipstick, so it can easily worn to work and college. The color is best to worn with a nice smoky eye makeup look.

Texture, Finish and Pigmentation: The lipstick has a nice creamy lip balm like texture to it. It glides effortlessly and feels very light and hydrating throughout the day. The formula of the lipstick resembles to that of a colored lip balm. It covers my slightly pigmented lips properly with 1-2 swipes, but the ones with intensely pigmented lips might need to build the color with 4-5 swipes. The glitter in the lipstick slightly settles into fine lines on the lips, which is not very perceptible. The lipstick doesn’t overly emphasize dry or flaky lips, but removing those dead skin cells will be a good job. The sheer formula of the lipstick is perfect for teenage, college girls or whoever else doesn’t like to go overboard with opaque pigmented lipsticks and extremely bright colors.

Fragrance: The lipstick posses a very nice fruity scent to it.

Staying power: The shade lasted on my lips for 2.5 hours with full color and without much fading. Being on the creamy side the lipstick will not survive meals and transfers easily onto anything.

Pros of Essence Lipstick in Glamour Queen:

• A nice mlbb kind of color.
• Would look great on every skin tone and apt to wear on daily basis.
• Well built and color coded packaging.
• Smooth and creamy texture.
• Affordable.
• Decent pigmentation.
• Easily buildable.
• Formula is perfect for college or school girls.
• Moisturizing formula.
• Feels very light weight.

Cons of Essence Lipstick in Glamour Queen:

• Low staying power.
• Some may not like the frosty finish, but that’s not really perceptible.

IMBB Rating:

Will I Recommend/ Re-purchase Essence Lipstick in Glamour Queen?
I’ll absolutely recommend this to everyone. If you’re a fan of creamy formulation and searching for an apt mlbb shade, then you should definitely buy this shade. I’ll try the other shades of this range since I quite like their sheer yet buildable formula. They have a wide array of shades which complements every skin tone beautifully.
