I bought two lip liners from Etude House – Brown and Pink. I recently tried and reviewed the “Milky Brown” shade. I had a good experience and gave it a thumbs-up from my end. I use the brown and pink shade lip liners the most because they complement almost all my lipsticks. I enjoyed wearing the eyeliner from the same range, so decided to try out lip liner as well. Apart from these lip liners by Etude House, I also bought mascara, makeup removers and other skin care products. I love this brand’s skincare product and makeup range because they are perfect for subtle looks and have goodness of essential ingredients.

My Experience with Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lip Liner Soft Rose:
The product comes in a usual, twist-up lip liner packaging. It has a tube that holds the product and a cap to protect it. The twist up mechanism seems sturdy and has not given up on me yet (most twist up pencils do stop working eventually). The quantity is not appreciable and the product will run out soon with regular use. I enjoy trying products by Etude House. It has some amazing skincare products and that is why I have been trying out their makeup as well. In the past, I have tried and reviewed several skincare and makeup products by this brand. Most of them performed well and received good reviews from me. The makeup products from this brand perform well, they are affordable and do not harm my skin. They have more natural finish and enhance features in a subtler manner as compared to American brands. Their makeup products are more dramatic and not meant for a natural finish to face.
The color is opaque, petal pink and gives a smooth, streak-less application in one go – it is creamier and smoother than the eye liner from the same range. The eyeliner tugged and pulled on eyelids in an unpleasant manner and caused discomfort. The lip liners, on the other hand, glides smoother like a gel lip liner and is not too drying. In a couple of strokes, the full intensity of color is revealed, it covers my pigmented lips well and multiple coats are not required.
The staying power is good as long as I don’t consume oily or greasy food. It acts as perfect primer for lipstick application. If worn alone, first, the color is too pale for my skin tone and gives a ghoulish appearance to my face. Second, the color does start to dull after a few hours (all the drinking and talking and eating affects the staying power) and reapplication is required. It can be easily removed with a makeup removing wipe. It does not have a strong fragrance and does not irritate my lips.
Pros of Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lip Liner Soft Rose:
- Affordable and worth a try for those who wear lip liner on a regular basis.
- Can be worn alone or underneath a lipstick, but I cannot wear it alone because it is too pale for my skin tone.
- Prolongs wear time of a lipstick.
- Does not have a strong fragrance or smell too “waxy.” It is an essential lip product feature for me.
- Does not require multiple coats to reveal full intensity of colors – just a couple of coats are sufficient. It covers my pigmented well.
- Other color variants as well.
Cons of Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lip Liner Soft Rose:
- Availability can be an issue for some but some Korean websites do ship to India as well or there are some third-party sellers that sell Korean brands.
- It is not as natural as Etude House skin care products and does contain chemicals.
- This color is not meant for my skin tone since it appears too pale on my face.
Do I Recommend Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lip Liner Soft Rose?
I recommend this product to those who love to try out new lip products. This shade will look pretty on fair skin tone beauties and will go well with a wide range of lipstick shades. It is affordable and comfortable to wear so I do recommend it to others.
