Flirt Blush Pink Tutu Review, Swatch, FOTD

Flirt Blush Pink Tutu Review, Swatch, FOTD

I never knew I would be a Blush collector. I decided one fine day, that I would have one in most of warm colors that I love like brown, orange, peach and finally pink. So, I started looking for them and bought them as I found in each of them. I did not mind the Brand name, as long as staying power was good and it looked great on me. Finally, I wanted one in coral-orangey tone with slight shimmer for evening wear and decided not to hurry on that one, but was still on the hunt.

One thing about getting best cosmetics is you must only buy what suits you, looks good on you like a second skin and is of fairly good quality in terms of pigmentation and staying power. Always be prepared to return if you don’t like a particular item. Best is – not to splurge if you are not sure and don’t go with hype unless the praise is from a dear friend or a trusted source. Ok, I think that’s enough of a lecture for 1 article. Ha!

So I was walking into Kohls’ (a store) one day, and I just happened to walk into makeup section first and then I went straight to Blushes to see if there is anything eye-catchy. I have never known Flirt brand before but it looked good at first sight and I went ahead with the Bbush that I am about to swatch and show! It retails around $12 for 8 g and the Blush name is called “Pink Tutu”,

which I found really amusing! It comes from a family of PEEK-A-BLUSH™
Sheer Powder Cheek Color. The color is orangey-pinky kind of coral, but bit more on orange tones with golden shimmers. The pigmentation is really good and staying power is also good so it joins my makeup collection!!!!

Here is me with the Blush!!!! I was leaving to see my son’s Piano Recital.

So here are my likes and dislikes

LIKES for Flirt Blush Pink Tutu

1) Very wearable color for day time and evening looks. .Just go a bit heavy in evening.
2) Cheaper than other high-end brands and Kohl’s has a good discount sometimes, so makes it even cheaper.
3) Good pigmentation, good staying power and used atop primer and foundation, it won’t budge unless you are drenched in sweat or rain.
4) Shimmer is subtle, not too over-powering.
5) Over-all, a great blush.

DISLIKES for Flirt Blush Pink Tutu

1) I hate the packaging. It’s like slide-out thing and regular blushes are open, snap and shut. There is a risk of finger or palm-skin getting caught while sliding back in.
2) I haven’t used the brush that came along, it was tiny. I like to use larger, round brushes for blush.

Would I buy it again? Probably no, as this one will take years to get over!!!! Yes, a nice Blush.

I will give this Blush :-* :-* :-* :-*  ( took 1 star away for packaging)

Thanks!

  4. Nia you look gorgeous in this pic.. :-* I loved the name “pink Tutu” I am just saying this name again and again since evening and feeling cute. :cute:

    1. I think Tutu is frilly….girly flirty skirt……Thanks Rati…..I was feeling good….I went with light purple of eyes….and bright red on lips…..matched to my shirt…..I took this pic in bright sunlight…hence blush is showing less….otherwise it was more in real.

        1. Avon’s Perfectly Natural…I know how can it be Natural….but burnt red color looks good on fair to olive skin…..I know bright reds dont suit me too much, but with a slight brown hint, it goes on really well.

          1. It really is YOUR red, Nia. Even in suhc bright dya light it’s not looking over the top or maybe you are carrying it just so well. :-*

          2. Also I use Stippling brush to apply Liquid Foundation…..just use a drop of foundation on to a useless CD…. or 🙂 brand new CD……and stipple and then apply on face and neck….the effect is really good. And fast. And airbrushed.

No need to mess with fingers. Even with same brush I apply powder for setting the foundation, the light airy touch. Today, I applied my sunscreen moisturizer the same way….hahahahhaha….all with one brush. Its from Ecotools…Finishing Kabuki brush…newly introduced…..I have seen its a MAC dupe for one of their discontinued, yet popular brushes.

I think this brush warrants a separate review!!!!!
