Hello gorgeous ladies,
After being super impressed with Hard Candy, today I am going to share another product makeup product from Hard Candy. I totally adore the dome-shaped packaging of baked makeup products and this baby is no exception. I was so intrigued by this blush that I decided to add it to my makeup stash immediately. Let’s find out if I made the right decision or not.
Price: CAD 9.99
Baked ombre blush gives your cheeks all over warmth and glow. The ultra-light, micronized pigments are infused with radiance enhancing pearls and blend effortlessly into the skin to enhance skin tone and give you a natural looking finish.
My Experience with Hard Candy Glow All the Way Ombre Blush – Punch:
I was hovering around the makeup aisle at Walmart when a nice lady who was the makeup floor stocker was placing the new products on the shelves from the cartons with ‘Hard Candy’ printed on it. I saw this blush and went week in the knees. Look at the pictures ladies! I don’t know about you, but I knew I was in love!
Packaging: The one feature of this product that was calling my name is the packaging of this baby. It comes in a super sturdy and secure compact with a clear lid. Inside the pan, the beautiful blush-cum-highlighter is placed. Half the pan contains the blush and the remaining half is the highlighter. The shade name and the ingredient list are mentioned in teenie tiny letters at the bottom of the compact. It does not come with a mirror or a brush. But who cares? I don’t use the mirror or brush with the products anyway.
Colour: The blush is a gorgeous pink-y colour which turns into a peachy colour when mixed into the highlighter. The highlighter on its own is a fine-looking silvery shiny shade with a beautiful sheen. The shades when mixed together by swirling the brush around the whole pan give a stunning pinky-peachy blush color with silvery highlight for that glow on the face. Overall, the shades of the blush and highlight chosen for this compact are awesome.
Pigmentation: I would say the pigmentation of the blush and the highlight is better than average. The products are not fully packed with pigments but still provide a good colour payoff. By the way, no one wants a blush that makes you look like a clown and a highlighter that turns you into a disco ball! So considering that, the pigmentation is good.
Texture: The texture of this blush and highlight duo is extremely soft and smooth. It’s like a buttery finish powder, if you know what I mean. Since it does not have any shimmers in it, the texture is not gritty at all. It offers a beautiful colour and sheen to the face and blends like a dream.
Longevity: The staying power of this product from Hard Candy is average. It does stay on the skin for a good 5 hours but after that it starts to fade away like any powder with a sheen will. But I am not complaining as all products of this texture and consistency will behave the same. Also it serves my need well so I am happy.
Quality: The overall quality of this product is pretty darn good. It does what it claims. I like using this product when my face looks dull or on days that no matter what you do, you look like you just woke up sleepy and tired! It adds back life to the face and makes it glow-y and beautiful. All in all, I am quite impressed!
