How To Wake Up Looking Gorgeous

Hi everyone,

In this post, I’m going to take you through some easy and simple things that you can follow, to wake up looking refreshed and gorgeous. Let’s get right into it.

 How To Wake Up

Be sure to remove every bit of makeup thoroughly the night before, and cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin well. A solid night time skincare routine can go a long way in helping you look beautiful the morning after.

2. Use Silk or Satin Pillowcases:

Sleeping on a soft pillowcase that is made of silk or satin material will keep your facial skin smooth and radiant. This is also a good way to prevent your hair from becoming frizzy due to friction that will be caused by other rough fabrics.

3. Sleep on Your Back:

If you really want to wake up looking bright and refreshed, then the real key is to sleep on your back. If you’re a habitual side sleeper, this may take some time and practice. But this position is ideal to prevent your face from getting any creases or wrinkles when you wake up.

4. Keep Your Head Slightly Elevated:

Raising your head a little bit as you sleep can prevent puffy and tired eyes the next morning. The slight elevation with the use of pillows can prevent the fluids from accumulating around your eyes.

5. Use a Humidifier in Your Room:

If you live in a place with dry weather condition (or if you use an AC or heater during the night), you may want to consider installing a humidifier in your room. This will prevent your skin from becoming dry and dehydrated during the night, and you will wake up with soft and hydrated skin in the morning.

6. Eat a Clean and Light Dinner the Night Before:

Make sure to eat a clean, light and green dinner the night before. Avoid excess salt, sugar or processed foods, and focus on green veggies and fresh foods. Eating junk foods at night can cause water retention, puffiness, tiredness and disturbed sleep. Also avoid the intake of caffeine or alcohol at night.

7. Drink Enough Water Before You Go To Bed:

Make sure to drink plenty of water before you go to bed. This promotes restful sleep and ensures that you wake up with soft, smooth and hydrated skin the next morning. It also helps to get rid of tired eyes.

8. Comb Your Hair and Braid It:

Comb and detangle your hair and tie it into a braid the night before. Open up the braid in the morning to get soft, smooth and naturally wavy hair, which always looks gorgeous.

9. Use a Hydrating or Brightening Face Mask at Night:

Depending on your skin concerns, it is a good idea to use a hydrating or brightening face mask the night before (as part of your skincare routine) about 2-3 times a week. This will enhance the texture and quality of your skin and will ensure that you look radiant when you wake up.

10. Go to Bed on Time:

Sleeping on time, at a decent hour of the night, is essential to feel energized and radiant when you wake up.

11. Make Sure to Sleep Restfully:

Restful sleep is crucial to wake up feeling good in the morning. To ensure undisturbed and restful sleep, you may want to use an eye mask and ear plugs to cancel out any excess light and noise during the night.

12. Give Your Face a Quick Massage:

This tip is to follow in the morning. As soon as you wake up, gently massage your face with a few drops of facial oil using your fingertips. This will instantly perk up your face and give you a radiant and natural morning glow.
