INGLOT Freedom system Lip palette Review, Swatches
So I visited INGLOT for the first time since and my was I surprised. I like the place, although the store isn’t that huge here in Mumbai. The staff is definitely friendly but they aren’t nearly of the same caliber as the MAC or MUFE MUAs so there is a tendency to get lost amongst all the crazy colors.
My mom took me to INGLOT with the express purpose of buying some lipsticks. She was looking for some a nice dark shade to wear on nights out and somehow we ended buying a lip palette from their freedom system instead.
The freedom system for lip colors is just like the eye shadow one. Pick your colors and fit it into a palette. Unfortunately since she made the palette right there I don’t have shade names. Just swatches and a review of the colors themselves.
The lip palette itself is small, about the size of a smallish cell phone with beautiful sleek matte black casing, it snaps shut so its very handbag friendly 😀
Inside the case come with a mirror and space for a lip brush, which the MUA neither offered me nor was I interested in buying although getting one may make it more travel friendly, that’s a personal choice.
My palette is very much on the nude pink side 😀
The swatches in the same order.
Each pan is for Rs 300 but the quantity is only 1.2 gms which is nothing… all three pans combined is mayube just a little more lipstick than the typical 3gm of a MAC lippie for the same price. However the catch is that its an extra 300 for the palette itself, which evn though its re-useable still means that your initial payment is a bit on the high side. However, I am sold for the three shades for 1200 deal. And for anyone who suggests the Lakme palette, all I have to say is CUSTOM PALETTE !!! My own lip palette is on the boring side but you can mix and match shades from all pinks, reds, browns and nudes, the INGLOT website claims that there are 90 shades to choose from, I may not have seen 90 ( I didn’t count) but I saw enough shades to make my head spin , truly.
What I really like about these lipsticks is that they stay on for quite a while, if applied well the darker shades will still hang around faitly even after a meal. The texture is lovely and smooth and gives a creamy finish. Some people who love heavily moisturised lips may find this a bit drying, but its nothing a coat of lip balm under your lippie can’t fix. These are also super duper pigmented so a little goes a long way indeed. And lastly these are so very hand bag friendly, that I simply love carrying it around with me for a quick touch ups and for a convenient shade selection when I am out of the house. I think this concept works weel for women on the move, so that can have day and night shades with them at all times for when you are too rushed to head home to get ready for a night out after a long day.
The Verdict. This is a must have for any lipstick junkie. 3 shade palette for Rs 1200 is a pretty good deal in a day when even Loreal lippes can go up to Rs 650 each, that and the re-useablity is a winning factor. This may not be the ideal way to begin your lipstick journey, not everyone is ok working with a brush and then carrying it around. Personally I am very very happy with the lipsticks, I love the texture, the staying power and the pigmentation of the lipsticks. I also love the finish of the lipsticks. So barring the price factor I don’t see a reason why anyone would not pick these babies up 😀
Will I repurchase? Hell Yeah !
PS – I clicked 30 pictures in search for a pout picture to rival Poutmati’s but seriously girls pouting is hard than it looks !!! So at the end I will settle to merely admiring Poutmati’s pout from a distance 😛 and leave the amateur pouting to the rest of you lovely ladies 😀
