I love experimenting with new skin care products. Today, I will be talking about a face wash from the Korean brand – Innisfree. This brand is rapidly gaining popularity in India and I love trying out different products from this brand. The formulation and ingredient list is so amazing that you can’t stop yourself from trying them out. The face wash that I am going to review in this post, Innisfree Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam, is enriched with extracts of green apple and promises to deeply cleanse the skin. Directions To Use:
Apply an appropriate amount onto palm and work into rich lather. Massage over face, and rinse off with lukewarm water.

My Experience with Innisfree Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam:

This face wash is mainly formulated for skin that is full of impurities and looks dull due to uneven skin tone and reduced brightness. Let’s talk about the packaging first, which is the main attraction of this product. The face wash comes packed in a colourful, bright green apple-themed white tube. It has prints of green apple on the body of the tube and the colour of the cap is also bright light green in colour. So, the theme looks quite tropical and is very attractive. The hole in the tube dispenses the right amount of product for usage. The packaging is leak proof, so it can be easily carried around. All the product details are mentioned on the body of the tube itself. The packaging is very sturdy. Overall, I love the how the brand has themed their packaging. It is quite unique. The only drawback is the size of the tube. It is medium big in size owing to large quantity of product that it houses. So, you might find it bulky to carry for travelling purpose as there is no smaller size available.

Coming to the price point, the “Green Apple” range is not very pricey, especially, when you get about 150 ml of product just for 550 INR. I think it will easily last me for 3-4 months even if I use it daily. For this face wash, I think the price is very affordable.

This face wash is white in colour and has a cream-like consistency. I love cream-based face washes. They feel quite gentle on your skin and don’t rip your skin off moisture. The odour of this face wash is very pleasant. It has aa green apple kind of fragrance and I find the scent very refreshing. You might find the fragrance quite weird and medicinal if you are not fond of green apples. This fragrance does not linger around after you have washed your face. So, I’m sure it will not be a concern for people with sensitive noses too.

The product has a very thick, creamy consistency. The thick consistency prevents unwanted spillage of product while you squeeze out the tube. It lathers very well and it is super foamy. You would need a very tiny amount to cleanse your skin properly. A little goes a long way in keeping your skin squeaky clean.

The best thing about the green apple range is that it contains very less chemicals and is naturally made. I was quite intrigued by the ingredient list of this face wash. It has all the ingredients that are vital if you are looking for a brightening face wash. It is enriched with extracts of green apple and apple seed oil, which provide the purest form of vitamin C. This will help your skin get a radiant glow instantly. It is ideal for all types of skin. If you want that radiant glow at the comfort of your home, this range is a good one.

How I use this cleansing foam – At first, I wet my face. Then, I take a pea-sized amount of this product and apply it on my face. I massage it in circular motions for about 5 minutes so that natural extracts get penetrated into the skin properly and show best results. Following that, I wash my face with lukewarm water. Even though this face wash is very gentle on the skin, still if you want to hydrate your skin, you can follow up with any moisturiser.

Results: I have used this face wash for about two weeks and I must say that I’m quite impressed with the output. From the very first application, I began noticing the results. The cream-like consistency is so gentle on my skin. It unclogs pores and removes dirt and impurities very effectively. It purifies my skin from within and lifts my mood. My face feels squeaky clean post using this. As a result, I have seen that my skin looks bright and more radiant. I get that instant glow. This face wash provides my skin with healthy nutrients of green apple that makes it smoother, softer and supple.

My skin gets oily and shiny during summer. After using this face wash, oil stays at bay for 5-6 hours and my face looks less shiny. Usually, most face cleansers do not provide good hydration and tend to make my skin stretchy. My skin is prone to dry patches if the cleanser does not suit me well. However, using this face wash does not make my skin dry. It is highly suitable for dry skin beauties. I am not sure of how it will perform on super oily skin that is prone to stubborn acne and pimples. I would recommend them to try face washes that are specifically meant for acne issue.

Its natural ingredient list does its job perfectly in reducing the dullness from your tired, lifeless skin and bringing back that natural glow in no time. The energizing smell of green apple made me feel super fresh, but does not work well at removing flaky, dead skin cells as the product claims. It does acts as a smoothening agent but it definitely does not perform the work of a face scrub.

Overall, as a deep cleansing face wash, it cleans my skin deeply and eliminates dirt and dust effectively. My skin looks so clean and radiant. I also used this face wash to remove makeup. It works great as a makeup remover and delicately wipes off any makeup residue that is there on the face. It also performs well in removing waterproof makeup. Overall, it has suited me well and did not break me out. I am quite happy with the results.

Overall, this face wash can be incorporated in the daily skin care routine as a mild and gentle face cleanser. It has all the right ingredients and works well as a cleansing face wash. My skin feels radiant and deeply cleansed. If your skin is fishing for the right face wash for summer, then this face wash will be your best deal. I will buy this again once the current tube gets over.
