Jordana Powder Blush in Classic Bronze Review

Jordana Powder Blush in Classic Bronze

Hello Beauties,

This is my first purchase from the brand ‘Jordana’. IMBB is tempting me to try brands like Jordana and Essence; I cannot keep my hands from picking them up!

For a long time now, I have been hunting for a matte powder bronzer, as almost all the bronzers available in the market are shimmery, satiny or pearly, which I really don’t prefer. But one day while shopping online, I saw this blush and the name ‘Classic Bronze’ attracted me. Let’s see how this product fared on me.

My Take on Jordana Powder Blush in Classic Bronze:

Shade: I found the name ‘Classic Bronze’, for a lovely peachy- brown or soft terracotta colour, totally unfair. Yes, the colour is nowhere close to a bronze; the colour is completely a matte peachy brownish shade or a very soft terracotta colour. It has no shimmers or sheen to it, that’s a plus for me (as it is for most of us, I think).
This shade will suit every skin tone, ranging from fair to slightly dusky complexions. The shade is apt to wear every day, and can be nicely paired with coral or orange lip colours. Though the shade is very subtle and soft, the brownish undertone in it gives the effect of a bronzer when looked from a distance, so I would not suggest layering it up. Wear it lightly to give a soft plush of colour.

Texture and Finish: The texture of the blush is neither super creamy, nor crumbly powdery or chalky. The texture is smooth but not very soft either, the blush is hardly set, but it’s easily bendable. The blush gives a completely matte finish on cheeks, which makes it a perfect blush for oily skin beauties.

Pigmentation: The blush has average pigmentation, but it’s very buildable. In one swipe you may not get the desired colour, but when you swirl your brush just 2-3 times, you’ll get full colour on cheeks. The colour pay off is great too. After application, the powdery layer of the blush goes away, leaving a strong colour stain behind.

Staying Power: I tried the blush on my completely bare face and it stayed on me for 2.5 – 3 hrs. Though the fresh colour got toned down after 1.5 hrs, the stain stayed for more 2 – 3 hrs. I think if the blush is worn with a nice primer and foundation based makeup, it’ll stay for around 4-5 hours. Well, that’s not bad for a blush at such a pocket-friendly price.

Pros of Jordana Powder Blush in Classic Bronze:

  • A very subtle, completely matte, pretty peachy- brown shade.
  • Will suit every skin tone and can be worn every day.
  • Finish is very matte and is an apt product for oily skin.
  • If you like a shimmer free blush, with no sheen in it, this shade is for you.
  • The blush is very smooth in texture. Not very crumbly, powdery or chalky.
  • The pigmentation is medium, but the colour is very buildable. Gives full colour with just 2 swipes.
  • The blush is very easily blendable.
  • The brown tone in the colour gives a bronzing and contoured look on face.
  • The staying power is good for 3 hrs without any makeup base, and with a good makeup base it’ll surely stay for more 2 hrs.
  • Packaging is convenient and sturdy.
  • Price is very reasonable for a blush.
  • Available in a wide range of shades.
  • Jordana products are easily available online.

Cons of Jordana Powder Blush in Classic Bronze:

  • The texture could have been softer.
  • Pigmentation could have been better.
  • The colour is nowhere close to bronze, I think the name is associated with the bronzed look that the colour gives.
  • I find the screw-cap packaging a little messy and there is no detachable touch-up brush attached to it.

Recommendation: Yes, I’ll surely suggest this shade to everyone, especially those with medium skin tones. I think extremely fair or cool tone beauties can use this shade as a bronzer too. The shade is very nice peachy brown, apt for office wear. It nicely blends with most Indian skin tones.

IMBB Rating: 3.9/5.
The cons of the blush are negligible, but I would still mark it 3.9, because of the not so soft texture and the medium pigmentation.
