Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, Lavender Hydrating Mist Review

jurlique lavender hydrating mist
I picked up a whole bunch of products from Jurlique during my Australia trip. Their skincare has been such a game changer for me. I am beyond impressed. I picked up two facial mists from their range – lavender and rose water. Although these have not been the most impressive products from the range but in coming days I will share some of the brilliant skincare products I have used from Jurlique. 🙂

These mists come in frosted heavy glass bottles with a lovely spray. I am always worried that these might break the moment they hit the floor. The spray actually mists the liquid on your face and gives a very refreshing feel to the skin. Sometimes I put them in fridge and then I just mist away. With mists somehow I don’t know when to stop. No wonder I am running out of them so quick. :\

This has the most amazing natural lavender fragrance I have ever come across in a beauty product. It smells so natural and earthy. It is the kinds that calms down your senses and puts you to sleep. I’d say a fragrance like this is a must have on long haul flights. It is so soothing. It adds a bit of hydration to the skin on hot summer days when you want something very light just to make your skin feel comfortable. The second second highest ingredient in this mist is alcohol. There are a lot of good ingredients too but forget about that. It stings my eyes like there is no tomorrow. I have ended up ruining my eye makeup. It has literally turned my eyes red. I always have to be so careful using this. I close my eyes, spritz it and the keep my eyes closed until the mist settles down completely. Such a shame considering it could have been such a fabulous product. Definitley not on my recommendation list.

My Experience with Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist
The rose water balancing mist smells heavenly of roses. It could actually be quite over powering for some but if you like the smell of roses, you would love it. To be exact, it smells of Dabur Gulabari. 😀 I use it after washing my face or after applying a face pack or sometimes even after applying my full makeup. I have been using rose water as a setting spray for years. I don’t think rose water really increases the lasting power of makeup but if you are a fan of dewy skin, this adds a bit of dewiness to the skin. I don’t find it hydrating enough but I’d say that it is very refreshing. This does not sting my eyes. The ingredients have a good and bad ingredients both. The second highest ingredient is alcohol. It kind of bothers me. Some of the good ingredients are marshmallow – used to treat dry /sensitive skin and even rosacea. It is also anti inflammatory. Rose flower extract adds to the fragrance, is anti bacterial and adds a lovely natural rose fragrance. The good ingredients list also includes aloe, lactic acid and grapefruit extract. So overall, I feel it is a very good one. I thoroughly enjoy using it. But given a chance, I could not repurchase it. I’d rather prefer a pure distilled rose water for my skin.
