Hope you are all doing great. Metallic lipsticks are a rage in the beauty world right now, and many brands have come up with new metallic lip products. Today, I am going to talk about a beautiful metallic lipstick from Kat Von D; it is their “Studded Kiss Lipstick” in the shade “Wolvesmouth”. So without further ado, let’s get into the review.

My Experience with Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick Wolvesmouth:

Packaging: This lipstick comes packaged in a beautiful studded black case, which indeed looks fierce and luxe. There is also an outer black paper box with the product details and ingredient list. The shade name is present at the bottom of the tube with a color-coded sticker, which makes it easier to identify the color. Overall, I love this packaging as it is bold and different.

Shade: One of the biggest appeals to this range is the shades. There is a massive 39 shades to be exact. There is a whole rainbow of colors which is just amazing. Studded kiss lipsticks are introduced as mattes and they have also introduced some metallics to the line. Recently, they have launched Studded kiss Creme lipstick as well. The shade “Wolvesmouth” is a magnificent warm metallic berry pink shade. It is a festive shade that will suit everyone.

Like the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, these are not consistent across the board. Some are better than others, which is a drawback. The good ones are fucking fantastic, but the bad ones are really bad in my opinion. The metallic finish is noticeable without being too intense, thereby making it all the more wearable.

Formula: There have been quite a bit of rumors running around this range. I’ll be honest here and say that you’re either going to really love this formula or you’re going to really hate it, as not all the lipsticks in this range have the same formula. The one which I picked is from the good lot and has an amazing formula. The consistency tends to be thick and not very creamy. It gives good color pay off and amazing pigmentation. The metallics in this lipstick seem to be lovely and subtle and doesn’t feel gritty at all. The finish of this lipstick is more on a semi-metallic matte finish. They apply well and go on smooth on the lips without tugging. They don’t seem to accentuate the dry patches, but doesn’t mean that it will go on smooth on chapped lips. Lip exfoliation is a must prior to lipstick application. They do feel comfortable on the lips.

Staying Power: This lipstick performs exactly as it is described by the brand; it is “long lasting”. It looked perfect for a full 8 hours, even after a meal. It didn’t even fade in the center of the mouth; the way lippies tend to do as you eat. It stayed on throughout with minimal wear off. They do transfer a bit, but nothing crazy. Reapplication and removal of this lipstick is also easy.

“Wolvesmouth” is fantastic and I highly recommend it. I love the berry color and the metallic finish. It has everything that a good lipstick needs.
