Hope everyone is excited for the weekend, I sure am! You may not know, I am currently on a body lotion high! My skin for the first time ever has been DRY! Of course there isn’t anything good about dry skin, but for me, it means I get use up all these body lotions I had bought before but never used. A while ago, Kiehl’s came out with the Aromatic Blends Collection. All the scents in Aromatic Blends are very natural and unique. The ingredients in Kiehl’s new Aromatic Blends collection are naturally derived and sustainably sourced. I had received the Kiehl’s Skin Softening Body Lotion in Fig Leaf and Sage lotion as a gift during the holidays, but never got a time to actually use it till now. Keep on reading to see my views on it!
Formulated with squalene, shea butter and botanical oils to ensure skin is nourished from the inside – out. Indulge skin in 24 hours of hydration and soothing nourishment without silicones.
- A stimulating fusion of Fig Leaf and Sage.
- With underlying hints of bergamot, citron and thyme.
In the body lotion, there is a blend of avocado, olive fruit, sweet almond, apricot kernel, and sesame seed oils to help deliver moisture and softness to the skin. I love all these natural ingredients in the lotion, makes me feel good that I am not adding unnecessary chemicals into my body.
$26 for 8.4 oz.
My Take on Kiehl’s Fig Leaf and Sage Skin Softening Body Lotion:
To begin with, I was not a fan of the packaging. The packaging itself is a plastic bottle with a regular squirt top and the description was on the bottle via a sticker. In my opinion, if I’m paying $26 for a body lotion, I do expect the packaging to be nice, especially since Kiehl’s is a high-end brand. In my head, I can justify the price because the ingredients are natural and good for you. Now, let’s go on to the product. I wish I could describe this scent, but it is very difficult. It is nothing like I have smelled before. The fig leaf and sage gives a very earthy and woody scent. It is a very unisex scent. The first time I smelled it, I did not like it at all but after I applied it on my hands, I actually liked it. It is very different but in a nice way. The smell is not overpowering and will not interfere with your perfume. My mother is very sensitive to scents, and she hasn’t complained about the scent giving her a headache, so that is great!
The consistency of the lotion is quite watery. It is thin, but not too runny. After applying this lotion, I didn’t feel dry. This lotion doesn’t leave a residue which I really like. It sinks into the skin without feeling greasy or sticky. It made my skin feel so soft! Usually lotions have added silicones to make your skin feel soft, but there are no silicones in here, so it feels great! I would definitely recommend this lotion to everyone. Whether you have dry, normal, or oily skin, this lotion will suit you well. The smell is either a hit or miss, so if you enjoy earthy smells this would be perfect for you!
Pros of Kiehl’s Fig Leaf and Sage Skin Softening Body Lotion:
- Makes skin soft to the touch.
- Natural ingredients.
Cons of Kiehl’s Fig Leaf and Sage Skin Softening Body Lotion:
- Smell may not be universally appealing.
- Packaging could have been better.
