Hi all! Am back with another kryolan lipstick! Now that I am more than happy with the lip pencil, I got a lipstick. Their lipsticks are classified into three types.
1. Lipstick classic
2. Lipstick fashion
3. Lipstick pearl
I got the one from lipstick fashion LF303.
What the company claims? Lipstick for professional beauty applications. The creamy consistency of lipstick fashion feels soft and velvety on the lips and leaves a pleasant to wear sensation. This lip rouge preparation features a care complex with a well-balanced formula. LF is available in 30 shades. (The 18 colors displayed are available in the showroom I guess, whereas the remaining shades will be available upon request). Also note that the lipstick shade in the catalogue is no match with the original shade.
Price : Rs.250 for 4 gms.
Ingredients :
Packaging: It comes in a silver grey matte outer cover with a shiny silver band on top. It closes firmly with a click soun, so I guess it would be travel friendly. Nothing attractive (but nothing boring either, just a normal casing)! It has a Kryolan hologram sticker confirming its authenticity.
My take on the product: The lipstick is really creamy and glides on smooth. It is an opaque shade and a good choice for pigmented lips (this will hide the pigments in just one swipe).The smell is not a very pleasant one. I am not happy with the smell but thank god it doesn’t stay on lips! The shade which I got is a mauvish plum shade. It comes out a little loud as soon as applied on lips, but becomes a beautiful purple dominated pink in some time. But when applied with a light hand it is a beautiful mauve shade, perfect for office wear. It has a good staying power of about 4 hours without eating and a good 3 hours with light eating and drinking. After lunch, the color doesn’t go away fully, it fades to a beautiful mauvish pink tint on lips. Also note that the shade card taken from the website does not match the original color even a bit. Take a look at the swatches!
Pros of kryolan LF 303 lipstick :
1. Beautiful shade which goes opaque in one swipe.
2. Wide range of shades.
3. Pretty decent staying power.
4. Creamy and glides on smooth.
5. Easy on the pocket.
Cons of kryolan LF 303 lipstick:
1. The smell is a little unpleasant (though not strong ) but doesn’t linger on lips (vanishes when applied on lips).
2. Availability is a problem.
3. It will be impossible to select a shade from their catalogue!
I can’t think of any other cons. But that doesn’t mean that am head over heels in love with this (that may be because of the shade that I got ). It’s an average product which doesn’t burn a hole in your pockets!
IMBB rating : 3.8/5
My recommendation: ? Yes. If you can get your hands on them, it’s a good deal.
Will I repurchase? Definitely, but in some other shade (planning to try their pearl range). It is hard to find such creamy opaque lipstick!
