Lakme 9 to 5 Tangerine Fluff Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color Review

I own many new shades from Lakme’s 9 to 5 Mousse and Cheek Color range (Blush Velvet, Crimson Silk, Rose Touch, Plum Feather) with my favorite one being Plum Feather! When I went to the beauty store recently, I was about to buy some Miss Claire lip creams. Suddenly, I thought why not spend a little more and buy the rest of the Lakme shades as well. I was also going to buy “Coffee Lite,” but it was very similar to “Rose Touch,” hence I skipped that one. Take a look at this very bright orange shade that has been named “Tangerine Fluff” by Lakme.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Tangerine Fluff Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color:

I am happy with the pricing of this product; they have not placed this at 899 or something of the sorts. At 575, this is a very nice lip cream that goes almost matte plus they also claim that you can use it as a blush which does work for me. As a blush, these colors are super pigmented. All you need to do is to dab your lips after application and then use the fingers to apply that color to the cheeks or else you can easily go over the top with application.

“Tangerine Fluff” as a color is not that great. This is a very milky and bright orange shade. I would say mix it with other colors or else use it like a lip stain. Even when I was picking this up, I had thought to myself that I will be using it in combination of other lip creams as I love mixing lipsticks. Otherwise, you cannot wear this shade alone. No skin tone would be able to carry this milky orange on its own.

The downside of this shade is that I find it patchy to apply; it does not go as smooth as the other colours. It stays plush and moist for some time but doesn’t completely become matte or transfer-proof. I don’t enjoy the application as I can see darker patches of orange on the lips. The applicator is awesome like always, with the wand being slightly flexible and the tips being perfect to curve and apply on the lips.

Another thing I want to point out that though it does not set to extreme matte, this does feel drying as the day progresses. For dry lips, I cannot say how the feeling would be.

Pros of Lakme 9 to 5 Tangerine Fluff Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color:

• Bright orange for orange lip lovers.
• Smooth.
• Not extreme matte, remains slightly plush and mousse-like.
• Nice applicator and wand.
• Not that expensive.
• Could be dabbed as a cream blush.

Cons of Lakme 9 to 5 Tangerine Fluff Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color:

• Very milky orange, needs to mixed with other lip products.
• Not suitable for deeper skin tones at all.
• Could be drying after a few hours.
• It is not transfer proof or smudge-proof.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Lakme 9 to 5 Tangerine Fluff Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color?
Not this one, but yes, this range looks promising and deserves your attention.
