Lakme Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturizer Review
Hello lovely ladies,
Its winter setting in my city, so have to gear up with all the weapons to combat the weather conditions. The favorite target of the cold and dry air is our beloved soft and supple skin *headbang* The wind ensures all the moisture is stripped away from us, but we are smart girls and come up with new handy backups every now and then. So today, I will review a newly-launched moisturizer from Lakme. This one is called Lakme Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturizer.
The press note says, winter is just around the corner, so bring in the season with a dash of glamour. Presenting new Lakme skin gloss winter intense moisturizer, a product formulated by beauty experts to make your skin look fabulous all day long, even in cold and dry weather. It preps your skin like a pro so that you can work any look and the most of the festive season without worrying about your skin. Lakme skin gloss winter intense moisturizer, is a face moisturizer, designed keeping in mind your skin requirements during winter. It protects your skin from the harsh and cold weather and also can be used as a primer for your make-up. You just got to follow the moisturizing routine with skin gloss after your Lakme clean-up in the morning and your skin is winter ready.
Price and Quantity:
100 INR for 60 ml, also available in bigger bottle of 120 ml for 120 INR.
My Take on Lakme Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturizer:
The winters are setting in Kolkata and I am super excited *balleballe* I love the season, but it also brings in many issues, skin and hair related *sigh*. So as soon as I saw this moisturizer in my local beauty supply store, I was curious. The packaging is a white bottle with blue labeling; the shape is somewhat like Lakme Peach Milk Moisturizer, curvy in shape. I was not much impressed with the packaging though, but the claims made me try it, I immediately googled and found out the details, it said it can be used as a primer. Now that’s what I call wow factor with a winter moisturizer.
So, let’s get on with the review. It comes in a regular moisturizer plastic bottle with a flip open cap. The cap is secure and locks well when you close it, but not of good quality, will break easily with everyday use. The fragrance is beautiful, typically Lakme kind, not too strong, mild and beautiful.
The product is white and not runny, perfect consistency for a moisturizer. Once I apply a pea-sized amount on my face after clean up (but not necessarily Lakme which is mentioned above in the description), it covers my face totally and no “chipchip” *happydance*. Its fully absorbed into the skin and the skin feels supple and moisturized considering its not fully winter here, it does a good job, but when its actually 11 degrees again, I don’t think this will help much as it is water based. So, oily skinned beauties thumbs up to this one *hapydance* Mine is combination skin and it suits me quite well.
I apply as a makeup base too, for office. I apply this first and follow up with BB Cream and it doesn’t make my skin dry, in fact it helps to give a healthy glow I feel.
Pros of Lakme Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturizer:
- Firstly, I give thumbs up for the price range.
- Soft lingering fragrance.
- Can be used as a makeup base for winters.
- Available in two sizes.
- Moisturizes well.
Cons of Lakme Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturizer::
- Packaging could have been more attractive and sturdy.
- Contains parabens.
Do I Recommend Lakme Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturizer?
Yes, this is great for people with budget plus oily skinned ladies can grab it too without fear of it being greasy.

for the first time i am happy being oily skinned *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* 🙂 🙂 🙂
Yayyyy the post has come in time. *happy dance* thanks. I was wondering what to use on my combination/oily skin this winter so this seems ok na? (Me lives in Hyderabad so winter not as severe as in other places like Delhi). Can i use this instead of my current olay 7 in 1 or should i use in addition to my current moisturizer?
This will not break u out. Water based hai.
N additional or not its ur call, coz I haven’t used olay so no idea.
Advice will be use it alone once wen u r at home, u will know what effects it has on ur skin.
This is good for the face, but on body more quantity will be required to cover dryness properly.
Yes gud for mild to moderate winter conditions. I stay in Kolkata n I use it daily to office as a base on bv cream. N it looks as good as ever *happy dance*
nice review khushi, even i was thinking to pick this up.
Mine is dry skin.. seems it is suitable for only oily skin. Does this suits me?
