My Experience with Lip Ice Tinted Lip Balm Poppy Pink:

Let’s begin the review with the packaging of the product. The lip balm comes in a beautiful baby pink outer packaging with the detailing on it in bright red fonts. Each and every detail about the product is mentioned on the back of this packaging. The lip balm tube is pink in color. The lip balm tube bears the detailing in cool white fonts and patterns. There is a small white cap which fits pretty securely making the packaging fit for carrying around. The tube is pretty small and can be easily carried in the pocket. It has a regular twist up base that works pretty smoothly. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.

This lip balm comes in three different variants – Baby Pink, Poppy Pink and Berry Red. I had already reviewed the Berry Red and Baby Pink versions. This one is the “Poppy Pink” variant. It is a very sheer reddish colored lip balm with some pinkish hue. The lip balm contains very fine silver-colored shimmer particles which do not look chunky and gives a nice sheen to the lip balm. The shimmers are barely noticeable.

This lip balm is quite sheer and does not cover the pigmentation of the lips. The lip balm color almost mixes with the natural color of the lips and gives a glossy sheen. The fragrance of the lip balm is something that I absolutely love. It has a sweet strawberry-like fragrance that I totally enjoy. The scent stays for quite some time and fades away gradually. The smell is mild and not bothersome but this fragrance is a matter of personal preference, not everyone like such sweet, fruity scents.

The texture of the lip balm is great. It is very super smooth and creamy and that’s why it glides on the lips like a dream. There is no grittiness in the texture of the lip balm. It is non sticky and feels comfortable on the lips. It does not have that waxy feel. The lip balm comes with SPF 15 that helps to protect the lips from harsh sun rays. The formula is very nourishing. It helps to heal dry and chapped lips. My lips stay kind of hydrated for pretty long after applying this lip balm. It makes my lips feel soft and smooth.

The lasting power of the lip balm is somewhere around 3-4 hours on my lips. In the mean time, it loses its glossy sheen but it definitely keeps my lips hydrated and nourished. Overall, this is a good lip balm with a decent price tag.
