L’Occitane Angelica UV Shield SPF 40 Review

Hi ladies,

Today, I am going to talk about L’Occitane Angelica Bouclier Radieux UV Shield with SPF 40. It took me some time to pronounce its name correctly which I fail to do even to this date. I have been using this product for quite some time now and I thought now is a good time to share its review. So, without further ado, let’s get into the review straight.

My Experience with L’Occitane Angelica UV Shield SPF 40:

It comes in a matte finish light green glass bottle with a pump on top to dispense the product. The pump is lockable to prevent spillage during travel. Just turn it towards left and it gets locked. Although it’s a glass bottle, it is very sturdy.

I have always had a hard time applying sunscreen on my body. I have hated everything about sunscreens – their texture, their smell, everything, but when I came across this one by L’Occitane and tried it on my hand, I was amazed to see how non-sticky it was. I hate lotions which are too thick and difficult to apply, this sunscreen is runny but not so runny and applies flawlessly.

Talking about fragrance, it has a slightly strong smell of grass and greenery which I don’t like. I am more of a floral fragrance person but that doesn’t really matter because a) It fades away in time and b) it still serves the purpose better than any other sunscreen in the market. It is non oily if you have dry skin, but if you have oily skin, it might clog your pores while sweating, though it hasn’t caused any breakouts on me.

It does leave a slight whitish cast on the skin if not applied properly, so I have to rub into the skin nicely before stepping out. This is my holy grail product for winters. Since I have oily skin, I try to prevent tanning by wrapping a scarf, hat or wear sunglasses when I am exposed to sun. I haven’t experienced any sunburn with it till date. Since it is very runny and non oily, I sometimes wear it under my light everyday makeup as well.

Overall, I like this product but L’Occitane is really expensive. I would suggest investing in this product when you really haven’t found a better product.

  • Works well on all skin types.

Cons of L’Occitane Angelica UV Shield SPF 40:
