Today, I am going to review an eye balm from L’Occitane, so here it goes:
The Immortelle Precious Eye Balm offers triple action benefits for firmer skin and reduced appearance of wrinkles:
– Smoother eye contour:
Immortelle stimulates collagen production, which helps fill in deep wrinkles and restructure the epidermis for smoother skin*.
– Firmer eye contour:
The support network of the skin is reinforced*.
– Anti dark circles and anti-puffiness action:
Dark circles and puffiness are less visible (ruscus and holly extracts). Eye area looks younger.
• In vitro / ex vivo on Iimmortelle extracts
- Gently dab a small amount of the eye balm underneath the eye and work your way outwards.
- Apply from the inner corner of your eye towards the outside, by light pressure with your ring fingers.
- Finish with a light smoothing gesture, to smooth eye contour.
My Experience with L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Eye Balm:
This balm comes in a classic blue glass jar with a silver lid, which looks very classy on my dressing table. This smells somewhat like essential oils which is an okay fragrance. Consistency-wise, this eye balm is not a thick balm, it’s semi transparent, not a thick white cream, and goes on smoothly. I apply this balm with a cotton bud to dig out the desired content and not with my finger.
It does not irritate the eyes and my eyes stay moisturized all day which is what I was looking for. This does what it is supposed to do, takes away puffiness and makes my eyes feel hydrated and fresh.
It helps me in hydrating my under eye area. In terms of reducing dark circles, I don’t think it helps much. I think I will like it more if the product came in a better packaging, like a roll on. This product is a big yes for dry skin beauties, especially in winters when the eye area becomes dry and this balm provides tons of moisture.
Pros of L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Eye Balm:
- Reduces puffiness.
- Reduces dark circles a tiny bit.
- Tightens eye area.
- Wears well under makeup.
- Good for sensitive skin.
- Gives a cooling sensation.
Cons of L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Eye Balm:
- Price may be an issue.
- I wish the balm came with a spatula.
