After reviewing the shade “Fuchsia Amnesia” from the newly-launched L’Oréal Infallible Pro-matte gloss range, today I am reviewing the shade “Forbidden Kiss.” Read on to find out more about this product.

Product Description:

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Forbidden Kiss Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss:
Packaging: This gloss comes in a transparent curvy rectangular tube with a black cap. The packaging is simple yet looks pretty. The cap is a screw-on type and hence there is no danger of it coming off loose. The name of the gloss appears on a sticker on the cap.
The applicator sponge is doe shaped with a small hole in the middle. It picks up a good amount of the product and applies the gloss easily and precisely.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Forbidden Kiss” is a dark plum shade. This is a kind of shade which I mostly associate with winter months. This is not a shade which will appeal to all as it is pretty dark. The gloss is strongly pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover the lips. There is no clumping of the gloss if you layer it on.
Texture/Finish: The texture of this gloss is more like a liquid lipstick. It is quite creamy and applies very smoothly.
The finish is a semi-matte one with some amount of sheen. The gloss does set a bit after a while, but it does not dry down to a fully dry matte finish.
The gloss feels pretty comfortable on the lips and feels like velvet. It does not feel drying. However, this particular shade did cling on to the dry patches. There was no feathering even though this is a dark shade.
Lasting Power: The gloss transfers quite a bit. The lasting power is average and it lasts on me for around 4-5 hours depending on what I am snacking/drinking.
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Forbidden Kiss Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss:
- Creamy velvety texture which glides smoothly on the lips.
- Lovely semi-matte finish.
- Strong pigmentation.
- No clumping if layered on.
- Does not feel drying on the lips.
- Pretty affordable.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Forbidden Kiss Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss:
- Average staying power.
- Clings on to dry patches.
- This particular shade will not suit all.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Paris Forbidden Kiss Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss?
Although I love the formula, I won’t recommend this particular shade to all. I will not repurchase the exact same shade.
