Skin-type: Combination and acne-prone
I used this product long back but forgot to review it, so here I am with this one. I used it during the super hot summers here, so I would be mentioning how it works in summer and the current breezy weather, so we can make a difference. This particular range had a serum and this day cream. I was not keen on the serum since I had a couple to finish. So I started off with this; let’s see how it worked.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Dark Spot Corrector Day Moisturizer SPF 30:
Packaging: The day cream comes in a big glossy silver box which is pretty huge as compared to the other day creams. It has ample of details mentioned over it which will clear all your doubts. It clearly mentions a claim of doing everything in “4 weeks” which is very catchy especially for women. The tub looks extremely luxurious and the packaging is totally according to the price you pay. The cream comes in a sturdy glass jar which is heavy but handy. It comes in shimmery silver colour with glossy silver cap. The cap is just like a mirror and I can see myself in it, isn’t it awesome? The price is pretty expensive but since it is a L’Oreal product, we won’t talk on it.
Consistency, smell and feel on the skin: The cream comes in white colour with little shimmers in it which give it a pearly shine. It creams itself looks very luxurious. A little quantity is needed since it goes like butter on the skin. The consistency is neither too thin nor too thick, it is medium. It has a pleasant perfumed scent but might be over-powering for a few as well. The addition of such over-powering fragrance has high chances to irritate the skin especially the sensitive ones. It would feel light-weight for the dry skin but for normal to oily skin, it will feel a bit heavy and greasy. It is actually heavy for a day cream; this consistency for a night cream would have been perfect. It gets absorbed nicely but leaves a greasy cast which might break-out oily skin. There is something in the cream either the formula or the fragrance that irritates the skin and gives the urge to scratch. I think a night cream with this formulation, instead of the day cream would have been much better.
Results: The cream provides SPF 30 sun protection which is not that great for summers but reasonable for monsoons and winters. It has certain instant effects and some long-term ones. The cream instantly gives my face a luminous glow along with making it look bright and fresh. But that glow will be glow for normal to dry skin. For oily skin the glow might turn in greasiness and excess shine. It did look pretty greasy and heavy on me during summers but currently it is okay. It smoothens out my skin surface and hydrates blotchy skin. The hydration is really good for all the skin types. Coming to the long-term effects, it did even-out my skin-tone but not completely. But I could see a difference after prolonged use. It does work to fade dark spots and acne but it did not work that well on my mom’s age spots because they are very stubborn. See, if you have age spots or hyper-pigmentation then this won’t work. But for me, it did give me a partially clear complexion with the marks lightened. Hence a good one, but not the best one!

Will I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Dark Spot Corrector Day Moisturizer SPF 30?
No! I have used better day creams which work faster and more effectively than this and are better priced. If I have to get something for my dark spots or scars, then VLCC De-Pigmentation serum is my HG one as you all know.
Conclusion: Okay one but we have solid competitors of this one.
