L’Oreal Professionnel B6 + Biotin Inforcer Strengthening Anti-Breakage Shampoo Review

Hair Type: Chemically treated but not dry

I had been using OGX shampoos for years and was quite bored of them. So, I decided to go back to my second favorite hair care brand, L’Oreal Professionel. I picked up this B6 + Biotin Inforcer Strengthening Anti-Breakage Shampoo because I had never tried this variant earlier and it claimed to contain the goodness of Vitamin B6 and biotin. Let’s see how it performed.

My Experience with L’Oreal Professionnel B6 + Biotin Inforcer Strengthening Anti-Breakage Shampoo:

This shampoo comes in this very pretty bottle. This is the standard packaging of the entire “L’Oreal Professionel Serie Expert” range. The brand has apparently used 25% less plastic, as their commitment to the environment, hence the bottle is pretty lightweight and you can easily squeeze it. The cap seems pretty fragile too. Therefore, the packaging is not perfect and definitely not travel friendly. Also, the brand still tests on animals, so is this CSR a marketing gimmick or are they really concerned? 690 bucks for this shampoo is fine – though not great – since a little product is needed each time if you’re like me and dilute your shampoos before use.

The shampoo has a nice consistency. As I have mentioned earlier, I dilute my shampoo in the mug and then use it on my wet hair. This way, I use lesser product and still my hair becomes clean. This shampoo smells amazing. The fragrance is very refreshing and it does stay in my hair for over two days, even in summer.

Before I tell you more about this shampoo, let me state some facts about my hair. I have color-treated hair and, obviously, it has become a little fragile. Since my hair is long, my strands tend to break from random areas. My hair isn’t really dry but then it’s kind of moody. I’m also experiencing hair fall because of PCOS, but I take medicines to control that.

This shampoo claims to be perfect for fragile and damaged hair, and I agree. If SLS doesn’t dry out your hair or scalp, this shampoo is pretty nice. It cleanses hair very well without drying it. This shampoo adds a nice shine and bounce to hair. My hair used to feel flat before I started using this shampoo but feels bouncy and healthy now. Also, my hair doesn’t tangle as much.

The shampoo makes hair stronger and reduces breakage to an extent, but only if you use this shampoo regularly for more than 3 weeks. My hair definitely feels stronger now, but the shampoo cannot control severe hair fall or make your hair grow back. That’s unrealistic and the brand doesn’t claim that either. It also doesn’t make hair thicker or longer even though it contains B6 and Biotin, but that can be achieved mainly with a good diet, to be honest.

I feel this shampoo shows best results when used with the masque from the same range. My hair does not feel as lively when I use this shampoo with my OGX conditioner. So overall, this is a good shampoo that makes hair stronger and more resistant. It can revive damaged hair and make it healthy again. I love how it does almost everything it claims.
