Like most of you here, I too shop online. A lot actually! Some of the products turn out to be good while others are a complete waste of money. On one such random online haul, I added this shampoo to my cart. I have used L’Oreal shampoos and they do work well for my hair so I did not hesitate in picking this shampoo. To know whether this was a hit or a miss, continue reading.
Anti-gravity effect volume shampoo for fine hair. A unique combination of purifying Salicylic Acid and Hydra Light, an ingredient known for its extremely light moisturizing properties. The result: hair looks volumised from the roots.
Price of the product:
INR 500 for 250 ml
My experience with L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Volumetry Shampoo:
This shampoo comes in the regular L’Oreal Professionnel Shampoo packaging. The bottle is sturdy but can’t be travelled with because of its size. It is a gel based shampoo, slightly on the runny side. It has a mild refreshing fragrance which I really like. The smell dies down as soon as my hair is completely dry. The shampoo lathers well and cleans the scalp. It does not dry out my hair but I can’t skip the conditioner. For those with extremely dry hair, you would need an extremely moisturizing conditioner but those with oily hair, can skip it. Though, I would still recommend using a light conditioner post shampoo.
Coming to the claims of adding volume, it does not live up to it. I don’t have extremely fine hair but still I expected it to add some volume to my hair but it made no difference at all. I have paired it with different conditioners and also without one but the result is the same. One of my cousins has been using this shampoo too and she has fine hair, but even for her it did nothing. She regrets this purchase because she bought it only for the volumising claim. As for me, I can deal with it but I too am disappointed. This shampoo is good for just cleaning the scalp and keeping it itch free.
Pros of L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Volumetry Shampoo:
• The mild refreshing fragrance
• Cleans the scalp well and keeps it itch free
• Moisturizes hair slightly
• A little goes a long way
• Sturdy packaging
Cons of L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Volumetry Shampoo:
• False claim!
• Contains a whole bunch of chemicals
• Not travel friendly.
If you are looking for a shampoo to effectively clean your scalp and moisturize your hair slightly then you may try this. But do not fall for the volumising claim! And always remember, hair care products differently for all.
