Loreal X-Tenso Care Intense Nutri-Reconstructor Masque Review

Loreal X-Tenso Care Intense Nutri-Reconstructor Masque

Hello ladies,
I have straightened my hair permanently for the second time this year and have been facing severe hair breakage problem leading to excessive hair fall. When I asked my hair stylist he suggested me this masque which I had to buy as there was no other option. Here goes the review:

Price: INR 600 for 200ml

Shelf life: 1 year

Product Claims: GB X-tenso Care intensive nutria-reconstructor masque with anti-breakage and anti-dryness action, deeply nourishes, softens and reinforces hair fiber to optimize the result of straightening or relaxing process of X-Tenso Moisturist.

Technology: PRO-KERATIN + INCELL: a fusion of two reconstructive technologies for the hair, that brings amino acids and lipids, essential components of the fiber. Associated with Botanical Extract, the formula recharges depleted moisture levels and controls volume.

Result: Hair is as if rebuild, deeply nourished, with controlled volume.

Direction for use: Apply on clean towel dried hair. Gently massage from lengths to tips. Leave for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately. Keep out of reach of children.

My experience with Loreal X-Tenso Intense Nutri-Reconstructor Masque:

Actually I straightened my hair along with my bestie and soon after straightening we encountered with the same problems i.e. hair breakage, hair fall, dryness and what not. So the stylist suggested us this product and we ended up buying it and we both experienced the same result.

The masque is in white and creamy form and has a mild fragrance. It comes in an opaque tub packaging which is very convenient to use and carry, also it requires a considerably small amount so it can go a long way.
Now coming to the real thingy, whether it served my purpose of buying it? NO.

As I said earlier me and my friend we both were facing severe hair fall due to breakage and this product did absolutely nothing. Instead I feel it made the situation worse as both during the application of the product and after it I witnessed severe hair fall. My hair just came out in huge amount both at the time of washing it off and after drying my hair. But the product did add some moisture to my hair and made it soft which we can expect from any other conditioners in the market so why buy this dud? The control of volume part was also untrue. So the end result is absolute dissatisfaction.

Pros of Loreal X-Tenso Care Intense Nutri-Reconstructor Masque:

• Deeply conditioned my hair and made it soft
• Sturdy packaging
• Requires a small amount

Cons of Loreal X-Tenso Care Intense Nutri-Reconstructor Masque:

• Increased my hair fall problem
• Didn’t give any volume to my hair
• Expensive
• Loaded with chemicals (including paraben)

Will I repurchase Loreal X-Tenso Care Intense Nutri-Reconstructor Masque:

No ways, never! And I would also like you guys to stay away from it.

My rating: 1.5/5

    1. You are welcome Saloni *puchhi* I have used everything from the xtenso range, from shampoo to conditioners to serum.. not at all impressed.. *smug* *spank* *spank*

  3. Heh? okay. I read good reviews of this… I had a question. Did this cause you more hair loss from breakage – tht is hair broke off from the middle , or did it cause you hairfall from the roots ?

    1. I was so impressed by the keratin ,’ incell’ and fibre and amino acids claims. sighs. But it seems to be loaded with chemicals – you`re right. and my hair isnt rebonded , I guess I shouldnt opt for this.

      1. *thankyou* Arja it actually increased hairfall.. At the time of washing it off there was a considerable amount of hairfall from scalp too.. and otherwise the hairfall was due to breakage.. *cry*

  4. oh me using this for more than a year and its worked well for me all the time.i hv normal to dry hair, rebonded.
hairfall after rebonding is because of ur hair’s condition, worng product used or stylist mistakes. since both of u had hairfall check on these next time. so a mask wont be able to fix that… tc 🙂

  5. Heyy ife I think it’s the product which didn’t work for me as soon after using this disaster I switched to tressmme products which didn’t cause any hairfall.. So I guess it’s the masque which is to be blamed… Tc

    1. hey ritika i went through this smoothening treatment a couple months back and i use the loreal shampoo and mask…though the mask smells good enough but it worsen my hair fall…please suggest me a good product um extremely facing this hair problem…
