Hello, everyone!

Today I am going to review Lotus Ecostay Spot Cover All in One Make-Up Stick. Let’s get into the details.

Price: INR 695 for 6.5g

My Experience with Lotus Ecostay Spot Cover All in One Make-Up Stick:

Lotus Ecostay Spot Cover All in One Make-Up Stick comes in a pretty, rose pink box with all the information printed over it. The actual foundation comes in a beige and rose pink base stick with a clear cap. It looks pretty, nice and travel-friendly. Also, this twist up technique works smoothly. I feel the quality is a little low and won’t last long if I use it regularly.

I have the Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation as well and it contains 9g product whereas this one offers only 6.5g. This range offers four shades, which are not enough for the Indian skin tones. I picked up the shade ’04 Natural Honey’ for myself, which is the darkest shade in this range. So, there are no options for dusky beauties in this range. Natural Honey is a nice, warm-orangey, yellow-toned natural honey colour, which is perfect for tanned skin tone.

It is slightly deep for my skin tone but I could not find any better shade for myself in this range. Most of the shades have different undertones, hence none of them could fit me perfectly. So, I preferred to go for this warm honey shade. Since summer is here and I am a bit tanned, this shade is working fine for me. Now, this shade is quite pigmented and provides good coverage too. It provides a nice, buildable medium coverage, which can hide spots and imperfections.

It nicely evens out my skin tone and can hide slight dark circles, too. If you want a natural look, you can easily use this product and skip your concealer, which I mostly do. I really like its coverage. I don’t have blemishes or pigmentation, but I do feel this stick will cover them well. This coverage is perfect for me mainly because I have just a few pimple sports and otherwise my skin is clear.

The brand called it “an ultra-creamy stick” and, yes, it has a super soft and creamy texture that glides effortlessly on the skin. It blends smoothly and is very easy to work with. It takes only a few minutes to blend and provides a smooth, even and flawless base. As I mentioned, this stick has a creamy finish and I have a super oily skin. So, this formula clashes with my skin type badly and makes it oily very soon. I always prefer matte foundations and this one is creamy.

It is perfect for normal to dry skin, though, as it hydrates the skin. It can hide dry patches easily and never looks patchy on the skin. You can layer up this formula easily and it never feels heavy. But, I don’t like it on my skin, just for its creamy finish. It hardly controls oil for 2 hours and then my T-zone gets oily. So, I always need to use an oil-controlling primer underneath and also set my makeup with a good compact. This way, this foundation works better and looks nice, even on my oily skin.

But if you prefer creamy foundations, you will definitely love it as it provides a nice finish. Even I might love it more during winters. Also, it lasts quite long on the skin; on my oily skin, too. It never moves from its place and stays on for around 5 hours. After 3-4 hours, it starts to break around my smile line and T-zone, so a touch-up is required to set it again. Otherwise, it doesn’t crease or settle into the fine lines.

This foundation also contains SPF 20, which is good, though not enough. Overall, it is a nice product to try and a good one for dry to normal skin types. I also like this stick and love how it imparts a healthy-looking flawless finish. I just have two issues with this one. First, I wish it controlled oil better and second I wish the shade range was diverse.
