MAC Brun, Corduroy, Sable , Shroom Eyeshadow Review, Swatch

I am neutral eyeshadows girl totally. I sometimes try coloured eyeshadows for fun but mostly it’s a set of neutral colors that I am always attracted to. Here are some beautiful brown shades from my MAC eyeshadow collection that I use quite often.

MAC Brun Eyeshadow

Price : Rs 1000 approx
Finish : Satin
Color : muted blackish brown / matte dark taupish brown
Texture : super smooth and easy to blend.
Longevity : super long staying. No fading or creasing.
Pigmentation : super pigmented
Goes Best With : browns, purples, neutrals. The cool tones of the eyeshadow makes it perfect for eyebrows as well.
Skin Tones : All skin tones but those who have problem of dark under eyes,
Do I like It? A definite must have in every one’s collection. Great for smokey eyes, eyeliner, and even eyebrows. If you are not a fan of stark black eyeshadows but still want something dark , brun is a great pick.

MAC Corduroy Eyeshadow

Price : Rs 1000 approx
Finish : matte
Color : muted reddish brown
Texture : smooth
Longevity : does not have any issues of fall out, creasing or fading.
Pigmentation : nicely pigmented
Goes Best With : on its own as an overall wash of color, as an outer ‘V’ shade when used with a highlighting color on lid and crease.
Skin Tones : cool
Do I like It? I personally am not a fan of the color. It does not show on too well on my lids and kind looks a bit muddy when applied on its own.It could be a nicely flattering shade for someone with cool undertone or green eyes though. For a reddish brown, I prefer Folie as compared to this. Corduroy is pretty close to MAC Brown Down. If you find that Brown Down is not the shade for you but you want something similar, try this one.

MAC Sable Eyeshadow

Price : Rs 1000 approx
Finish : Velvet
Color : Gold-plum with bronze pearl / a bronze sheen
Texture : smooth. Not chunky at all. No fall out.
Longevity : stays on all day long without creasing or fading.
Pigmentation : super pigmented. Blends beautifully.
Goes Best With : neutrals, highlight colors, purples, plums. On its own with just a liner.
Skin Tones : all
Do I like It? A great option for coloured eyes. It is kind of a no brainer. Apply a light wash of color all over the lids and it would instantly give that lovely polished look to your lids. A beautiful neutral everyday color.

MAC Shroom Eyeshadow :

Price : Rs 1000 approx
Finish : Satin
Color : soft beige with shimmer / a shimmery creamy beige color
Texture : smooth
Longevity : all day long without fading. Does not crease when applied all over the lid.
Pigmentation : very pigmented. I personally find it way too pigmented for a highlight color.
Goes Best With : all eyeshadows. Can be used on a lid as well, which I find it best for my skin-tone rather than using it as a highlight. Sometimes I like using it for inner corners as well.
Skin Tones : light
Do I like It? I personally dont like shroom. I find it a little whitish stark on my skin-tone. But if you are on fairer side,definitley give shroom a try. It would be your perfect highlight shade. It is quite beautiful on its own.
