MAC Optimistic Orange Cremeblend Blush

MAC Optimistic Orange Cremeblend Blush

Hey Everyone!

Blushes like these are something which I am so obsessed about. My love for blushes makes me buy them in every size, shape, texture and colour. I just can’t go past a gorgeous blush without buying it. Honestly, I don’t even care to ask the MUA to apply some and test to see if it would suit me. I know it’s a bit crazy.  Well, all you blush lovers out there, you need to go and check this out! I mean it’s so good I must say it’s worth a swatch or so, let me take you into this orange blush ride. I think after Rati’s post, I really got inspired to write about this review even more.

Orange, it’s a lovely bright colour, isn’t it? I think all of us really need to add some orange into our day to day makeup.  I know its bright, but trust me, if you’re scared of brights on your face, you can use orange nail polish, orange slippers, scarf, bag, etc. It just gives such a fresh and spring summery look and adds a pop of colour.

My Take on MAC Optimistic Orange Cremeblend Blush:

I have previously never had a cream blusher because I always would wonder how to apply these, but after trying it out, I was convinced that crème blend range is a must try because its not completely creamy or greasy when you apply the blush.  It feels creamy and smooth, but after it transfers on to the cheeks, it gets converted to powder form.  Its not completely a cream to powder product to be honest.  I use my hands and it works perfectly fine, so no need of a brush either.

MAC Optimistic Orange

“Optimistic Orange” might look very bright in the pan, but it applies quite nicely.  The color is not too intense, but its just the right orange. Like I said, the blush can be made lighter for more peachy look and made intense for more orange dramatic look, so that’s a plus.

Texture:

MAC Optimistic Orange

Being a crème blend blush, its semi solid in state, smooth, creamy, non-waxy and easy to apply.

Staying Power:

MAC Optimistic Orange

It stays for 8 hours + depending on your cheeks. I have dry skin, so I don’t get oily and the blush stays the way it’s applied.

Packaging:

Comes in a round, black container, typical MAC packaging, has no mirror as usual and its stable and strong. Outer packaging has bubbly Shop MAC Collection box which I think is quite cute, but being a limited edition product, they could have done something much better and I expect a lot from MAC as it’s a high-end brand.

Pros of MAC Optimistic Orange Cremeblend Blush:

  • Stays forever.
  • Smooth and easy to apply.
  • Doesn’t need brush to be applied.
  • Colour is very intense, no need of too much color.

  • Ideal for spring/summer and can be applied on the cheek bones as well as can be used as a bronzer.
