Today I am here with another awesome product from the house of MUA. It’s a eyeshadow trio , sounds interesting na. Recently I did a small haul from MUA, I just love their products, and I also included the Wildberry shade which was reviewed earlier by Sumera, I loved the shade in swatch. Let’s continue.

With 3 complementary shades these blendable trios bring day, dusk and evening drama – just what every girl needs! Each contains two tone threads of colour creating a beautiful shimmer, sparkly enough to satisfy the glitter graving in you!

From your sexy nude tones to ‘legendary’ to your sultry blues, each soft but durable trifecta of colour will hold up pigmentation for hours. Use the palest shade as a wash over the eye and under the lid, pop the middle shade in the inner corner and use the darkest shade blending out the outer corner.’

Packaging:– The packaging is similar to that of the lipstick trio. The eyeshadow trio comes in a small, round pack, with a transparent plastic lid, on which the branding is done. The packaging is very cute and safe too, they can easily fit in your bag, and can be carried for touch-ups. The three color eyeshadows are placed in a black color plastic plate. The shadows are dome shaped, and a two-sided sponge applicator is provided.

My Take on MUA Merged Trio Eyeshadow- Theatrics

Color:- The shadows have three different shades for a complete defined eye makeup. One is  golden- white shade with some bronze and golden shade to it. Second is a nice light purple shade with white and pink color merging in it, which kind of gives a nice light purple hue. Third one is a green based black shade, with golden & white color merged in it. All of the three shades are shimmery, with silver and golden shimmers. I must say the silver shimmers are gritty , but they are not too concentrated, when applying a little fallout of glitter does happen. The shimmers in it add drama and sparkle to these shadows.

Texture & Pigmentation: The texture of these eyeshadows is very smooth, and has a shimmery, pearl finish to it.  the shades apply easily with the sponge applicator. The silver shimmers are a bit gritty and big, but they do not feel uncomfortable. Pigmentation-wise the shadows are medium to good. The color can be built up easily if you need more color, or have naturally darker eyelids. It gives a nice color on the eyes with 2 swipes. This is a perfect shadow to be used in wet form, there is twice the difference between dry & wet application. The wet one is more vibrant and intense than the dry application.

Staying Power:– The staying power  amazed me ! It stayed on me on during this summer where I sweat a lot and that too without a primer underneath for 4.5 -5 hours without creasing and fading! After 5 hours when I noticed it was still there, shining so vibrantly in my eyes, I was really impressed by this one.

• Shimmers in it add a sparkle
• Can be used wet & dry, wet application is more vibrant.
• Texture is smooth and soft.
• Nice pigmentation, color is easily build-able
• Staying power is superb, without a primer or base too.
• Doesn’t crease.

Cons of Makeup Academy Merged Trio Eyeshadow – Theatrics

• Shimmers in it are a bit gritty.
• There is lot of shimmer fall out.
• Wet colors are 2x vibrant than dry application. Dry application could be better.
• If you don’t like shimmers in your eyeshadow, this is not for you.

Recommendation on MakeUp Academy Merged Trio Eyeshadow – Theatrics: Yes, if you are okay with the shimmers then definitely try this trio, you will love it. I am going to play with the other shades available in this range.
