Makeup Revolution I ♡ Makeup Heart of Glass The WOW Stick Review

Hello lovelies,

Happy Diwali to all the lovely ladies out there! For dhanteras, I did not buy a lot of gold, but I did buy a lot of makeup instead. 😛 I picked up a lot of stuff from Makeup Revolution London recently and came across these cute little WOW sticks; they looked so adorable that I had to pick a few. Today I am going to review one of the worst lip products I have come across, which is this shade called Heart of Glass.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution I ♡ Makeup Heart of Glass The WOW Stick:

The WOW sticks come in a very cute coloured packaging which is long and sleek. The colour of the box resembles the shade. This box comes in a flesh colour with some baby peach and pink hints which make it look a little different than the skin tone. The stick comes in a black packaging with ‘Super Wow’ written on it in hot pink. It has this twisty thing below and due to the sleek look, it is very travel-friendly. It will fit in anywhere – in a handbag, vanity, clutch. But there is no mention of the shade over the stick which might get a little confusing if you have a few of these.

Coming to the shade, Heart of Glass, it is the most disgusting shade I have ever seen in my life. Take a look at the swatch and have a laugh because I don’t think there is any dupe available for this. 😛 It is a flesh toned colour which could have been a total beige. It does have bits of baby peach and pink hints which make it look a little better. I think this has just been launched in India to expand the range, but it is made for the very fair Korean or American women who might want a perfect nude for their skin tone. But this totally washes out any Indian skin tone, and makes me look like a clown!

You know how in cricket matches some players apply that white thing over their lips for sun protection? That is exactly how it looked on me! In fact this is one of the worst shades I have come across in my entire life. But the quality is excellent. Although this is a little less creamy and smooth, it glides well on the lips with little pauses in between. The formula is totally matte and matte lovers will totally love this. It gets a little dry but not stretchy and the level of dryness is totally bearable. But due to the colour, it highlights the chapped portions a bit which doesn’t look good.

The staying power incredible, it stays for somewhere around 7-8 hours and the colour stays intense for the initial 5 hours. It survives almost everything – full meals, snacks, drinks and kisses too. 😛 But when I eat a lot, the colour wears out from the centre portion of the lips and the outer colour stays as it is. I think it is definitely a good deal even if it is pricey because it stays fresh and beautiful the entire day and you wouldn’t have to bother about touch-ups.

Pros of Makeup Revolution I ♡ Makeup Heart of Glass The WOW Stick:

• The wow stick stays for long, say for 7-8 hours

Cons of Makeup Revolution I ♡ Makeup Heart of Glass The WOW Stick:

• The shade is just yuck! Super disgusting because it has a flesh tone which totally washes out Indian complexions
• The texture isn’t very creamy and smooth
• It is very pricey in India as compared to the price on their website
• Limited availability
• This shade looks extremely chalky and highlights the chapped portions making my lips look ugly

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Makeup Revolution I ♡ Makeup Heart of Glass The WOW Stick?
No, not at all. In fact I do not have any clue regarding what to do with this one, will have to brainstorm on that. 😛 Certainly not this shade, but I want to try the other bold shades as their quality is excellent.
