Highlighters have become so damn popular in the makeup town and IMBB as well. When I spotted this one, I wondered how could someone not fall in love with this? It just caught my attention more than any other product from Makeup Revolution. I picked up one highlighter called Pink Lights from Makeup Revolution earlier, and this one is a “baked” onem hence priced higher too. So let’s see whether it actually works better or not!

My Experience with Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Triple Baked Highlighter – Goddess of Love:
Makeup Revolution collection has loads of highlighters to choose from depending upon the skin-tones, budget and liking which is the best part.
Packaging and price: Oh my God! Do I really have to talk about this? Looking at the shape and the super cute packaging, I think any woman will be lured towards this. The box has the name written all over it in nice fonts and this super gorgeous highlighter is housed inside it. I love the heart shape that they have created for this entire range. It is a sturdy cardboard box in white and gold with the name over it. It can be easily carried around since it comes in a medium sized packaging.
And it actually looks like a gift box, so if you are planning something to give to your girlfriends or to-be-brides then this can be a perfect gift that will keep her glowing all the time. Coming to the price, I think it is very reasonably priced if you compare it to the other highlighters. But Makeup Revolution itself has highlighters that perform very much like this. So while picking one, take your call!
Shade: The shade I picked up is called the “Goddess of Love” which is a shimmery yet a pearly beautiful rose gold colour. It is a gold with that rose tint loaded in it which adds pinkness to the face along with giving a subtle glow. The highlighter also has a light whitish touch to it, so you know you need to be really careful while layering this on your skin because if you apply it in excess, then it might look white in reality and the pictures too. It has to be swiped several times to get a pretty glow on the face.
The brush would do a better job than the fingers, so use a blush brush while applying this. 3-4 swipes build up the shade and make it nicely visible on the face, but be careful where to highlight! It will definitely suit all the skin-tones very nicely. It gives me a beautiful glow which does not look fake. Okay, it does not make me look like “Goddess of Love” because it isn’t as professional to give a look like that, but it is great for special occasions and events. This is great to fake a glow if your skin is dull and pale.
Texture and pigmentation: The texture is a little powdery and chalky, yet it gets applied nicely on my face with some swipes with the brush. The pigmentation is average and does not appear on the face in just one swipe. In fact, it isn’t even noticeable in the very first swipe. It can also be removed easily with a cloth incase excess is applied on the face.
Staying power: It stays nicely for 5 hours on my combination skin and the staying power would increase by 1-2 hours with a primer and a setting spray. But, the moment I put my fingers on my face for some reason, it rips off the major colour and glow. So do not really keep touching your face when you have this on.
Pros of Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Triple Baked Highlighter – Goddess of Love:
• Super cute and a gorgeous packaging
• The packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly
• If not for the highlighter, a lot of women might pick it just for the way it looks
• A beautiful, rose gold shade with a shimmery and a pearly finish
• The texture is a little chalky, but gets applied very smoothly on my face with a blush brush
• The highlighter has a neutral shade, great for all skintones
• It gives a very natural looking pretty glow to my face
• A very reliable product to fake a glow during occasions and events
• It stays on for 5 hours on my skin over the foundation and the power will increase to 6-7 hours with a makeup setting spray and primer beneath
Cons of Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Triple Baked Highlighter – Goddess of Love:
• Too much highlighter may look fake and white on the skin
• I don’t see a lot of difference between the lower priced highlighters and this one
• If you have tried high end highlighters, you won’t find this one excellent
Will I Repurchase/Recommend Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Triple Baked Highlighter – Goddess of Love?
Umm, I would surely recommend this one as this does everything that you would expect a highlighter to do. But the lower priced highlighter called the “Pink lights” or “Golden Lights” work equally well. So you may try the lower priced ones and if not satisfied, you can jump to get the Goddess of Love.
I really like the stuff from Makeup Revolution since every woman can pick up a lot of products at reasonable price.
