By Chayanti Mukherjee,
These days I love natural colors a lot as they suit all skin tones. Basically I love brown shades. Though I have so many brown shades, I still bought this Makeup Revolution London Pure Mono Eyeshadow. This is a new brand for me so I picked up so many products from this brand. It’s a nice try for me and I am obsessed with their eye shadows now.
Price: 500 INR for 3.3 grams (I got it for 179).
My Experience with Makeup Revolution Pure Mono Eyeshadow:
I generally love a Smokey eye and when created with a natural brown eyeshadow, it just looks out of the world. Makeup Revolution London Pure Mono Eyeshadow comes in a black rectangular case with a clear lid. Transparent lid works like a window as you can see each shade clearly making it easy to find in your make up pouch. The case is hard and travel friendly. I think it is a breakage proof too. I like this packaging. All the details are mentioned at the back. There is no applicator provided with this eye shadow. The quantity is great as compared to the price and it will last for quite some time.
As the name suggests, “pure” is a pure brown shade. It is a proper matte shade which is not chalky at all. The shade contains a little silver glow but not shimmery. This is a very natural and daily wear shade. It can be used as a base color for a brown smoky eye look. The shade looks very soft on the eyelids and is a very wearable shade. It is a must have shade for every girl. It comes with a matte smooth texture.
Pigmentation of the eyeshadow is amazing and usually in one swipe, you will get the decent color. With two swipes you can get the exact color which is in the pan. You need a proper brush to pat the exact color in one swipe. The texture is fairly smooth. It gets blended easily with the brush. It does not settle into fine lines nor does it crease.
It looks so even on the eye lid and mixes with another color very quickly. The staying power of this eyeshadow is great considering the price. It easily stays for 4-5 hrs after which it starts to fade a bit. If you want your eyeshadow to last long, use an eye primer. It doesn’t smudge at all. I have a normal to dry eye lid so it doesn’t make my lid oily. The brown color goes well with all skin tone and it makes your eye look more vibrant. It can be easily used on the lower lash line and inner corner too. Like all the Makeup Revolution eye shadow it is easy to remove in one swipe with a wipe. This is a matte brown shade so I also like to use this as a contouring shade. It blends very smoothly on my skin.
The only drawback of this eyeshadow is that it has a tendency to fall out. One needs to be a bit careful at the time of application. Also it contains parabens, otherwise it is a great eyeshadow. It looks very soft and sober on the eye. I love this shade.
