As I had already mentioned in my earlier posts that I have gone all crazy after these Makeup Revolution Lipsticks. Hence, I had picked a total mixed bag from them, like some are bright and poppy shades, and others are very neutral every day shades. I have already reviewed the brightest shade called End With Beginnings and now I present a nice daily wear shade called ‘Saviour Will Come’. Scroll down to know more about this beautiful shade.
Makeup Revolution London presents this ‘Saviour will come Liphug’ lipstick that is a must-have in your daily make-up kit. Ensuring deep colour in a single glide, this lipstick will not only make your lips look attractive, but also keep them hydrated all day long.
My Experience with Makeup Revolution London Saviour Will Come #Liphug Lipstick:
I recently got tons of these Liphugs because they had extremely cute names and amazing colour selection too. I think the shades describe the kind of situations you go through in a relationship and the shade names exactly matches that situation. Don’t you think this concept is damn cute? I will bifurcate its properties into different categories.
The packaging is very simple and decent. This liphug comes in a little glossy and metallic blood red box. The box has a little sticker over the top with the shade colour and the name written over it, which makes it easy to identify if you have a few of these. The lipstick comes in a very basic black packaging with the shade name and colour printed on the bottom. I wish they had made the packaging a bit fancy. These liphugs are little in size so they can easily fit into pocket, vanity, make-up bag or your big hand bag.
Shade, Finish and Consistency:
The shade “Saviour Will Come” is a very neutral looking brown shade that is apt for daily wear. Its brown shade is pretty unique because it is not something that will make your lips look dark. In fact it is a beautiful brick brown shade with pinkish orange undertones, which makes it suitable for all skin tones. Dusky beauties will have to try it because it may wash out certain complexion, while it won’t wash out others.
The pinkish orange hint makes it look very pretty and that is what makes it different from the regular MLBB shades. One swipe does not make it look too bold, but after a couple of swipes, it looks bright. Hence, the shade is pretty much buildable, as one or two swipes will give an MLBB shade, but 3-4 swipes make it more intense.
After 10-15 minutes of application, the colour intensifies and changes itself a bit. Due to the neutral tone and light shade, it will be one of the best shades that you can use for offices because it does not look over powering, instead it just adds a bit to the look and does not let your face look bare.
The consistency is brilliant. It glides on the lip like a buttery lip balm and keeps the lip hydrated throughout the day. It does settle into fine lines, does not bleed; nor does it accentuate on dry patches. It is a great to go shade when you probably do not have the time to do makeup but do not want to go out without makeup 😛
The staying power of this particular lip hug is better than average but not incredible. It stayed on for 5-6 hours on my lips completely with food and drinks and probably an hour more with light snacks. The lipstick turns matte after a while because the glossiness starts to reduce as you start munching. Although the entire colour goes away at the end, a stain is left behind that does not let the lips look bare. But, the stain also vanishes soon and it does not look great if you have dry lips because it makes the dry patches very noticeable.
