Maxfactor Color Elixir Lipstick in Chilli

Hi everyone,

Today, I am back with a pretty lipstick from Maxfactor. I have not tried these lipsticks before, really excited these days and wearing them often. I love to shop for neutral shades but this time bought all bright and bold lip colors. Read on to know more.

INR 750

Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Mica, Isopropyl Isostearate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Acetylated Lanolin, Ozokerite, Candelilla Cera, Paraffin, Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetyl Lactate, Squalane, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Persea Gratissima Oil, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Maltodextrin, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Lauroyl Lysine, Serica Powder, Parfum, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Propylparaben.

The lipsticks Maxfactor Color Elixir Lipstick come in a glossy gold body. The packaging is really good. The lipstick case comes with the colour of the lipstick demarked at the bottom. They also have the name and the code number of the shade printed at the bottom. The cap clicks tight and makes it very travel friendly. Overall, the golden colour makes it very classy and stylish.

The color is a pretty bold red with hint of orange undertones. It will suit fair to medium, dusky and also very deep skin tones. The lipstick is really bright and adds an instant brightness to my face even without any makeup. I just loved the color, it is bright and nice for occasions.‘Chilli’ has very fine golden shimmer which is really not noticeable on the lips but does help in adding a gorgeous sheen to the lips.

The lipstick has a very soft and creamy texture. It glides effortlessly on the lips because of the creamy texture you can easily skip a lip balm prior to application of this lipstick. The formula of the lipstick doesn’t settle into fine lines or accentuates dryness on my lips. I really felt it very light on lips. As the lipstick has very fine shimmer, it does set into a bit of frosty finish on the lips. These lipsticks have a very faint vanilla fragrance, which fades slowly on application. I do feel some sensitive noses might have a problem with it.

This lipstick is decently pigmented, a single swipe of color gives a diffused red color and you can easily build up the color intensity. When I apply and layer it twice or thrice all my lip pigmentation is easily covered. I am happy the lipstick is not very intensely pigmented as I find it quite difficult to apply it for casual days.

Staying power

It stayed on my lips for a good 3 and half hours without any touch ups, it might differ from person to person. This shade did not leave behind any strong color tint on my lips but some shimmer particles were visible.

Pros of Maxfactor Color Elixir Lipstick in Chilli

• Classy and travel friendly packaging.
• The formula of the lipstick is smooth and creamy.
• It feels very light and moisturizing on lips.
• It is decently pigmented- can be worn sheer to full opaque.
• Shimmer particles are super fine and will not bother anyone.
• Does not stain lips.

Cons of Maxfactor Color Elixir Lipstick in Chilli

• Staying power – I wished it stayed a bit longer.
• Fragrance- some may not be comfortable with the vanilla fragrance.
• I find it slightly expensive.
