I am a big fan of the Maybelline Baby Lips range, so I was more than excited to try the “Baby Skin” range as well. I picked up the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser along with other Maybelline goodies which I cannot wait to review. This primer has been extremely hyped in the makeup market, so trying it out just added more to the excitement. Read on to see how I liked the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer.
My Experience with Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer:
This primer comes in an light aqua blue plastic tube. The tube is rather small, so when I first saw this product, I was thinking that this will finish up really fast, but I was quickly proven wrong since you do not need that much product at all. This product comes in a simple gel-like formula which is completely clear. Also, it is fragrance free, so I do not have to worry about it irritating my skin. The formula is very lightweight so it can be worn under makeup without any issues. Now, I have combination skin so it sometimes is dry and sometimes oily and sometimes a bit of both. Because of that, I have fairly visible pores near the sides of my nose and a little on my nose. I never had problem with such visible pores, but this summer, it has appeared and hence I have been trying primers to prep my skin before makeup.
I apply a very small amount and smooth it over all the areas where I want to minimize my pores. Instantly, it seems as if this product completely blurs my imperfections. It is truly remarkable and gives me such satisfying results. Obviously, it does not completely hide it because it is a complete clear formula, but this primer blurs it enough for when I apply my foundation, I can not see my pores at all. It leaves that area very smooth and soft and applying makeup over it does not shift the product. My skin completely absorbs it.
Though I should mention that if you have oily skin, I suggest you first blot all the oil off before application because it might trap the oil in. Also, some oil might surface but it is not anything that any setting powder cannot fix. This lasts me the entire time I have my foundation on, so the product does not fade away. Overall, I am truly glad I gave this product a chance because it has completely solved my problem. This product would give all the high-end face primers a serious run for their money; costing only 5 dollars this is a good bargain.
