My Experience with Maybelline Color Jolt Matte Intense Lip Paint 04 Show Off Nude:

Beginning with the packaging of the product – this lip paint comes in a nice easy squeeze tube with a soft foam applicator. The tube is tiny and easy to accommodate. The body of the tube is color coded, which helps to spot the shades easily from your makeup stash. The tube has detailing with black fonts and has a long matte black cap. This is a typical screw on type cap that fits pretty securely making the packaging leaf-proof and travel friendly. The cap has a nice rubberized texture, which feels super soft. The applicator is soft and helps with precise application. The slanted tip helps to apply the lipstick easily. Overall, the packaging is really nice and travel friendly.

“Show Off N*de” is a beige n*de shade as the name suggests. The color is pale and suitable for fair skin tones exclusively. It will surely wash out deeper complexions. Luckily, this shade suited my skin tone really well and does not make my face look pale and dull. This shade looks best with dark smoky eyes. The color is subtle and can be worn anytime and anywhere. This product is super pigmented. It gives semi-opaque coverage in a single swipe. I need to apply two coats of this lip color to cover pigmented lips well.

The color is easily buildable and does not crease at all. Usually such pale shades have the tendency to apply streakily, but this one goes evenly on the lips in a single swipe. The finish of this lipstick is soft matte. There is no significant sheen or shimmer in this lip paint. It has a sweet, candy-like fragrance in it, which is very refreshing and barely noticeable. The smell is not too strong or bothersome.

The texture of the lipstick is soft and smooth. The formula is on the creamier side. Hence, it glides effortlessly on the lips without any tugging or pulling. The color spreads easily on the lips. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips and looks even and smooth. This lip paint has a tendency to transfer a little but I am glad the formula is not heavily transferring.

The formula is lightweight and feels super comfortable on the lips. It does not have that thick or waxy kind of texture. The lipstick has the tendency to cling to dry patches of the lips, so it is necessary to keep lips well exfoliated and moisturized. The lipstick formula is not really moisturizing. My lips feel dry after a few hours of application. So, it is necessary to keep the lips hydrated and nourished.

The lasting power is very good, stays for around 5-6 hours easily on my lips. The color fades after a full meal and it requires reapplication. Removing the lipstick is easy, any good makeup remover will do the job perfectly.
