Today, I am going to review Maybelline Lip Flush Bitten Lips Lipstick in the shade OR01 Sunset Sorbet. This lipstick looked very attractive so, I couldn’t resist myself from buying this one. Let’s get started!

My Experience with Maybelline Lip Flush Bitten Lips Lipstick – Sunset Sorbet:
The Maybelline Lip Flush Bitten Lips Lipstick comes in a beautiful color coded packaging with silver detailing. It has a pretty orange colored ombre cap with a silver base color. I like this packaging and it also has a color-coded indicator at the bottom which bears the shade number.
This new Lip Flush range is quite different than the usual lipsticks from Maybelline. This is a 3 in 1 lipstick; it has three different shades in one bullet which is super interesting. In India, it comes in two shades and I bought the shade OR01 – Sunset Sorbet. This is an orange lipstick and the bullet has two orange shades along with a nude shade. It has one deep reddish orange shade; a pure orange shade and the third one is a nude color.
So, these three beautiful shades look so pretty on the lips. It provides a beautiful and natural ombre effect to my lips. Once applied, my inner lips look bright orange in color while the other areas look a bit faded with a light orangey nude color. So, if you love ombre lips then, this lipstick will be the perfect option for you. This is a very natural looking orange shade that would suit a lot of skin tones as it brightens your face in a jiffy!
It doesn’t have any shimmers in it and it is a decently pigmented lipstick. With a single swipe, it provides a nice ombre effect but for an intensified look, a couple of swipes will do the needful. It might not work well for women with pigmented lips. You can also apply the orange shade or the nude shade alone on your lips as it provides a good coverage.
The texture of this lipstick is buttery soft and smooth making it glide easily on the lips. It heals dry lips and doesn’t highlight dry patches nor settles into fine lines. The lipstick contains shea butter which is great for moisturising your lips so it never feels patchy or sticky. The smooth, creamy formula feels very comfortable and lightweight to wear.
The lipstick also has a fresh cucumber smell which is not so overpowering. It has a beautiful, soft glossy finish that instantly makes your lips look very cute. I am not a huge fan of glossy lipsticks yet I love its finishing very much. It automatically provides a nice gradient effect to the lips and the tint just looks like the pretty Korean gradient lips.
But, this lipstick transfers a lot and it stays for about 2-3 hours after which it starts fading away. Also, it can’t survive meals so, you always need to reapply it. You can easily remove this lipstick with a normal wipe. Overall, I just wanted to try this new concept so, I didn’t mind about its staying power. Also, I love orange lipsticks and this is definitely a good product from Maybelline 🙂

I don’t want to repurchase this particular shade but, I would love to try other new shades from this range.
