Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Coral Review
By Swati Saini
Hello fellow IMBB readers,
I am Swati – a silent IMBB reader till now. This is my first review ever. Hope you like it :)) I am reviewing Maybelline blush in the medium coral shade from the “Fit Me” range. I picked it up from Walgreens during my visit to States.
Product Description:
Maybelline Fit me range has been created to fit and match your skin, Products which merge flawlessly into your skin. Maybelline says about this blush:
- Blends easily and wears evenly.
- Silky smooth texture.
- Oil free.
- Won’t clog pores.
- Dermatologist tested.
Price and Quantity:
$5.99 for 4.5 gm of product at Walgreens (cheaper at other online site or Target store).
My Experience with Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Coral:
I wanted a blush in coral shade since a long time. I don’t know about you guys, but I found very limited options in this color range. I spotted this in Walgreens and got it only because of the color and also I could not find this very shade in any other drugstore brand – could be an availability problem. It comes in a plastic case with ingredients list and description and the shade’s name on the back. It’s transparent from the front, packaging isn’t very sturdy.
The blush comes with a small brush which is very flimsy and practically useless. I never use the brush anyway, I think it’s too thin to pick up the product and very harsh.
Medium Coral is a beautiful true coral shade unlike the deep coral shade from the same range which is pinkish in color. It also has very fine golden shimmer particles in it which can be seen when observed closely. Shimmer particles are not too over the top, but very subtle and provides a brightening effect to the face like a highlighter. In other words, you can wear it during day and not look like a disco ball.
Although the shade is gorgeous, color payoff is not very good. When I swatched it on my forearm, it barely showed. I had to swipe it at least thrice to make it visible. On face, if you apply it with foundation, color shows off very beautifully after swiping twice or thrice. It looks natural because the color is not too strong. I like it because I want my blush to look subtle and natural, but if you like your blush to be too much visible and want to use it to contour your cheekbones – this is not the product for you. It gives very subtle, natural sheen with peachy looking cheeks.
The only thing which is a letdown is that it doesn’t last very long, especially on a hot and humid day. I applied it at 8 in the morning and rechecked at 1 o’clock, the color was barely visible and when I re-applied my powder, I couldn’t see it and had to reapply. The quantity provided is good, but if I have to apply it twice a day and that too 3 swipes in one time, I think I am going to finish it soon.
Pros of Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Coral:
- Gorgeous color.
- Nice fine shimmer which highlights and gives natural sheen.
- Subtle look.
Cons of Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Coral:
- Poor color payoff.
- Very less lasting time.
- Flimsy packaging and poor quality brush.
Would I Repurchase Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Coral?
No, I am going to look for this shade in other brands or maybe Maybelline’s Dream Bouncy range, which look more promising.
