It has been almost 10 years since I chopped off my long mane and decided to go short and I always keep it no longer than my shoulders. Of lately, I have decided to grow out my hair and, with more hair, I am prone to several issues like dryness, split ends etc. To tackle these issues, I have been buying a lot of masks and hair care range. My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Pulped Papaya Rescue Masque:

The product is said to add shine to dull and lifeless hair. Even though I have an oily scalp, as my hair grows out, the ends become very very dry and due to which I have a lot of split ends. My hair ends look more like dry hay and when I saw that this product adds shine to dull hair, I knew I had to give it a try.

The product is similar to other variants as it comes in a sachet form too. Every information about the product is there on the sachet. It is meant for a single use. As my hair is not long, I was able to use the pack twice. The mask can be used on both hair and roots. The mask is like a conditioner; I was expecting a thick paste but it is creamy and is peach in color. The smell is fruity and I absolutely love it. The smell stays in the hair till the next wash. After a wash with shampoo, I applied this mask and let it sit for 10 minutes instead of the few minutes mentioned on the back of the sachet.

I massaged a bit on the roots and combed it out so that it gets spread evenly. After the wash and towel drying my hair, my hair looked very lustrous, soft and smooth. I didn’t notice any changes in volume but it also didn’t weigh down my hair. My hair was shinier and was looking very healthy! The ends were also moisturized and the dryness had completely disappeared. The splits on my hair ends were hardly noticeable. The smoothness remained for almost a week which included 2 washes in between.

So this product can be used once a week to keep the mane lustrous. While it did smoothen my hair, it also made my hair lose its natural texture. This is something I do not like; I don’t like poker straight hair and I have a wavy texture. The mask makes it kind of straight and I so wished that the product would leave my hair the way it is. So, other than this issue, the product is a must-have. I also noticed that after combing my hair was frizz-free and the roots didn’t turn oily for 2-3 days. This was a welcome gesture for someone whose scalp turns oily by the next day.
