My Experience with Nars Como Larger Than Life Lip Gloss:

I could not wait to try out this product. I was content and more than happy with the pigmentation it gave and the way it glided on my lips. The application was a smooth process and high precision of the applicator gave a nice finish and a fuller look to my lips. A little sticky though with a lasting power that can be disappointing, but I did not feel like I was wearing any product on my lips.

It is quite light on the lips. If I am blessed , I look forward to buy Norma, Paris Follies and Place Vendome from the same range which do not offer even this little bit of shimmer. Not that I am complaining, but my curiosity is taking the better of me! The lack of aroma or flavor in the gloss was a huge disappointing factor for me. I personally prefer flavored, at least a mild fruity aroma. But, this gloss carries a little bit of a chemical like smell.

Pros of Nars Como Larger Than Life Lip Gloss:

• Neat and simple packaging – comes in a transparent tube with a black cap with NARS inscribed on the bottle. The name is specified on a label below the box
• The color in the bottle is pretty much what it looks like, both on a hand swatch and when applied on the lips
• The color is a beautiful shimmery shade of berry that could be an everyday color – be it for the day or evening
• The subtle, golden shimmer gives a pearly shine on application
• Does not feel heavy on the lips
• Absence of any aroma or strong flavor that would favor sensitive noses
• Very good pigmentation – can be a substitute for a shiny lipstick and gloss addicts would be than happy to own this
• Suits all Indian skin tones from medium to fair skinned beauties
• Application and texture – very smooth, not heavy or creamy
• The bristle brush like applicator lines the lip beautiful with high precision. Even a beginner cannot go wrong with this applicator
• No room for spillage or excess product on the brush which means zero mess

Cons of Nars Como Larger Than Life Lip Gloss:

• Expensive for the poor lasting power and the reapplication it requires
• Feels a little sticky and yes especially when hair touches the lips
• Contains no flavor or aroma which is a great con for me; smells and tastes a bit like a chemical
• Lasting power – low; lasts only a meal
• To obtain a neat finish on the upper and lower lip, you got to dip in the applicator at least 2-3 times for the product
• Availability in India

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Nars Como Larger Than Life Lip Gloss?
No, I would not repurchase the same shade. I look forward to buy the Cherry red, Norma or the pinks from the same range. I would recommend this berry beauty for the ones who are looking out for the perfectly pigmented shade of berry pink gloss.

Verdict:
If you are someone who is naturally inclined towards pinks and especially hooked onto the berry pink, it is a must in your vanity!

• Como is more of an evening color, perfect for parties and a happy girl’s night out
• To obtain a neat finish and for fuller lips, dip for the product at least 2-3 times
• You would not require a lip liner although no harm in trying

Create your look
• Berry pinks go well with black or white based outfits for a regular look. To spice it up, pair it with red color or a purple color based outfit
• Pair it up with the green family as per the season. For a refreshing summer or spring look, pair it with lime greens and turquoises and go for olive green for the winters. You could use Maybelline Colossal Kohl- Turquoise for the eyes.
• For a subtle, sweet, sugary babe look, pair this smooth berry gloss with greys and browns, and accessorize with pearls to add shine for a special evening
• Sport a loose printed Grey T shirt along with one of your regular blue denims of your choice
