My Experience with Nivea Hair Milk Repairing Shampoo for Thick Hair:
Nivea Hair Milk Repairing Shampoo comes in a blue coloured plastic bottle with a flip cap. The cap is quite sturdy, and the bottle is sleek, making it travel-friendly. But, the cap is very tight and can be a hassle to open in the bathroom with wet or slippery hands. Also, the product doesn’t come sealed. The back of the bottle bears the entire product-related information.
The shampoo is creamy and white in colour and has a runny texture. The shampoo smells very much like the Nivea soft cream. However, the smell stays for a very short time. The product is meant for thick hair, and Nivea has launched hair milk range that is tailor made for all hair types. The shampoo lathers satisfactorily. If you have oiled your hair, it takes 2-3 washes to get rid of the oil, and thus I wouldn’t recommend it for that purpose as the shampoo contains a lot of chemicals.
The shampoo makes the hair soft and supple. The product is meant for thick hair, and it does a great job to make the hair soft and manageable. The product intensively nourishes and moisturises the hair. It can also be a good shampoo for dry and dull hair. The shampoo does retain the natural texture of the hair. However, it makes the scalp oily and makes my hair oilier the next day of showering. The shampoo does make the hair limp. Also, the product does make the ends smooth and soft.
My dry ends look well nourished and hydrated, which I absolutely love. However, the shampoo contains SLS. The product, like claimed does intensively nourish the hair but, it is not meant for fine or medium hair as it makes the hair very smooth and makes it look limp but, it is a great option for dry, dull or thick hair.
So, summing up:
Pros of Nivea Hair Milk Repairing Shampoo for Thick Hair:
- Makes hair incredibly smooth.
- Intensively moisturises and nourishes the hair.
- Retains natural texture.
- Repairs dull ends.
- Suits dry/dull and thick hair.
- Nourishes hair.
Cons of Nivea Hair milk Repairing Shampoo for Thick Hair:
- Makes scalp oilier.
- Doesn’t cleanse oily hair well.
- Makes hair limp.
- Flip cap is very tight.
- Contains SLS.
