My Experience with NYX Matte Lipstick Whipped Caviar:

Whipped Caviar is a neutral light pink shade. The formula is supposed to be matte but this shade feels rather creamy instead. There’s nothing fancy about the shade; it would, however, make for a good nude on skin tones lighter than my medium-olive skin tone. Whipped Caviar is also thought to be a dupe for MAC Brave Lipstick.

The packaging is standard and simple – a black tube, which is transparent in the middle, revealing the shade of the lipstick bullet. It’s small enough to perfectly fit in your makeup pouch or even in your pocket. The formulation is something I really like. It goes on creamy and smoothly without tugging my lips. It’s comfortable yet it does feel like a layer on my lips, so I usually blot it with a tissue, apply another layer and then blot again.

The colour goes on pretty much opaque in one swipe but use a lip liner under this if you have a lot of lip pigmentation. The colour is rather pigmented for a light shade, which is pretty impressive. It lasts about 4 hours because of the creamy texture. I’m not too impressed by the staying power as it will fade by 50% with one meal or even a snack. It transfers very easily and just fades more when it does.

Well, other than that, it doesn’t have any scent. Still, the colour isn’t something I find myself reaching for often since it’s a bit light for my liking. If you want a good nude shade and you’re NC40 or lighter, this is a great option in terms of colour. But, I am not too impressed by this product.
