NYX Round Lipstick Milan Review, Swatch

Diwali is over and life is back to monotonous black and white routine, I so love when diwali is round the corner, the ambience is so colourful and cheerful but when it gets over I feel sad suddenly ☹( doesn’t matter for a sunrise its important that the sunsets, so i will wait for it to come again next year….haha….that’s me a little berserk :jalwa: :toothygrin:
Anyways, coming back to what I shall be reviewing today, its my new love, the NYX lipistick, the brand however does not need any introduction, most of you ladies are already in love with its lippies and I am no exception . I got this lipistick from my friend who was returning from US.

What the Website Claims?
NYX Round Lipstick is smooth and moisture with every application! This is a velvet-textured lip cream that covers the lips with rich color that smoothes and moistures lips with each application. NYX Round Lipstick is NYX’s best selling lipstick
Ingredients: Ceresin Wax, Polyethlene Wax, Candelilla wax, Microcrystalline Wax, Beeswax, Lanoline Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Mineral Oils, Octyl Palmitate, BHA, Propyl Paraben, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, D&C Red No.A1 Lake, Pearl Powder, Iron Oxide :stars:

3.99 $ for 0.14oz or 4 gms. It comes in a round plastic black lipstick case. The best part which I like about these lipsticks is that they have the original colour encapsulated at the bottom, which makes it so easy to locate in my vanity box :woot:
My take on NYX Round Lipistick Milan
I have found that in some of the brands, the quality varies with different varients ( different shades, different lot no.’s etc) of the same product but with NYX this has never been the case. All the lipsticks are creamy, moisturizing and glide on effortlessly.It has a satin soft finish to it and does not have any shimmers whatsoever. The shade which I have is pinkish brownish shade which would look good on most of the skintones. Infact this is my MLBB shade :yahoo: Again, proper exfoliation is needed otherwise it might settle in fine lines.One swipe won’t show the actual colour as it is not very pigmented. The staying power is around 2-2.5 hours after which you need to do touch up’s.One thing which I totally loathe about these lipistics is that they break, I have 4 lipsticks from this brand and 3 have already broken from the brim, it becomes cumbersome to apply with fingers or brush ( please see that I don’t put extra pressure to put these, infact it is not required also)
Summarising, the pros and cons.
Pros of NYX Round Lipistick Milan:
1. Creamy formula, which glides on effortlessly and gives a satin finish.
2. Huge array of shades to choose from :yahoo:
3. Quite reasonably priced, you can easily find them at cosmetix.in and even nyx.com
4. The lipistick case has a coloured bottom so it is easy to locate the colour.
Cons of NYX Round Lipistick Milan:
1. The lipisticks break from the brim 😥
2. Staying power is not too commendable :nababana:
3. Proper exfoliation needed before application.
Will I buy again?
Yes, considering the price, I might go for it again.

I have used this lipstick. Used to like the shade a lot. But mine was quite pigmented. I mean one swipe would give tons of color. i agree about the settling in fine lines part. good review. :waytogo:

Oh I recently ordered some NYX lipsticks from beautyjoint.com and some are shaking at the base coz they’re sooo soft. thinking of depoting them into small containers and using as lip paint pots. But don’t know where to get those chotu dabbas. Does anyone know? Oh I live in chennai btw…

I have NYX B52. Looks very very similar to Milan. Maybe b52 is a tad lighter…
