Back with a scrub review today. Volcanic clay and ash
ingredients are so much in rage these days, claiming to work miracles for problematic skin. I got this facial scrub from O3+ as I was lured by the name. Let’s see if this volcano scrub lived up to its fancy name and claims.

My Experience with O3+ Volcano Scrub:
The 50 gm tube is milky white in color and has all product details written on the front and back in different font sizes. The hint of red and green on the white and green gives it an interesting touch. The tube has a flip open cap, which is just about okay (not the tightest one I have used) and is decent for travels. The hole is quite small and releases tiny amount of product, and results in some product accumulation. Overall, I do not have major complaints with this packaging.
I was surprised by its texture. It comes in a black clay base and has exfoliating granules in it. The base is not very heavy or sticky, but feels really soothing on skin. The particles are not too mild nor abrasive and work in tandem with the slightly soft base to give a good physical exfoliation.
It’s scent is unlike anything I have smelled, so can’t relate. It has a slightly earthy and refreshing scent.
I can notice a stark difference in my skin’s texture every time that I use this mask. I use this as a quick mask and then scrub it before washing. Not only does it remove dullness and dead cells, it mattifies my face and makes it sebum free. It eradicates my whiteheads and surface blackheads, but doesn’t extract the deep-rooted gunk. For best results, I steam my face, apply this and leave on for 2-3 minutes and then wash off while scrubbing. It smoothens my skin texture and makes it very clear.
It’s a slightly sticky scrub, so you need to wash off the exfoliator very well or you might have black patches on your skin due to residue.

- Removes dead cells, dirt and sebum.
- Skin feels soft, smooth and radiant.
- Mattifies skin for 3 hours at least.
- Not very abrasive or harsh.
Cons of O3+ Volcano Scrub:
- Doesn’t remove stubborn blackheads.
- On the expensive side.
- Washing off needs some efforts.
Would I Recommend O3+ Volcano Scrub?
Definitely. It works great for oily skin.
