Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet Perfume Review
Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet perfume for woman comes in many sizes. I have the 1 oz bottle which am reviewing here and it came packed in a box like this given below:
Some information about the scent:
This perfume was introduced by the design house Paco Rabanne in 2000 and is a vision of the new millennium translated into the spiritual essence of modern femininity. Made in France, it describes itself as the harbinger of a new femininity. The colour violet being the chromatic symbol of femininity. The bottle is made from glass, silicone and metal in order to give a true tactile softness to the object and is made in a shape known as an ellipse. This perfume has been described as ‘the expression of a woman who reveals a new fragrance attitude’ by Paco Rabanne and said to be ‘an inventive fragrance’ by retailers.
This perfume is classified as floral oriental. It possesses an accentuated and strong, but warm amber note without animalic or heavy nuances that envelope the skin like the warmth of the sun rays. Sensual notes of woods are refreshed by pimento. Of course, Ultraviolet contains the note of violet, which shines in a flower bouquet along with rose and jasmine. It was created in 1999
Head Note– fresh pimento
Heart Note– Osmanthus
Base Notes– Amber, Vanilla
This perfume is said to be created around Osmanthus which is an apricot-scented white flower and subtlety set off by fresh pimento, vanilla and amber
More about the maker here:
I had my first encounter with this beauty while I was at Bahrain airport in the year 2001.i was very little and was not allowed to shop for perfumes but I kept sniffing around. make up and this stuff was born with me.lol
That was my first ever brush with this then few years down the line in 2010 my masi got me the 1 oz egg like bottle of this which is super cute. It’s a clear glass ball, well more of an oval shape. And has a soft flexible piece of clear rubber in the middle, this compresses when the perfume is sprayed.
There is a solid silver metallic top, which doesn’t come off; you just twist to stop it spraying. Twist again and then push down on the rubber to spray and wallah!!! The ‘Ultra Violet’ name is written vertically across the metal top.
I receive compliments every time I wear this little gem as it’s daring, bold, seductive and exiting – a fragrance that cannot be compared to another. It is in a very strong genre of its own. Ultraviolet is not a sheer fragrance .it’s not heavy but it’s definitely on the heavier side. Like the one spritz lovelies which you smell even a day after on your clothes. It is a spicy, dressy and womanly fragrance but still there is a freshness that gives you a high and some kind of manly energy. It is intense enough to draw attention when you enter a room but still light enough to prevent you from making an old-fashioned.
It is a definitely not the understated stuff. You have to dare to wear this perfume.
Here is all about the perfume, its notes, range .price and availability from the paco rabanne website:
This is a perfume you can either hate or love. Also it changes a lot depending on your skin chemistry .it is definitely more of a night and winter thing.
Ultraviolet is cool and hard and synthetic on its surface, and softly, deeply, naturally sensuous within.
Now that I think when I smelled it first or when this fragnance was invented back in 1999 considering that is still a classier period, this perfume composition was way ahead for its composition. Well done I would say.
This is one naughty fragnance. Men love it. 😉
Good of Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet Perfume
• It is a fall in love smell for strong scent lovers
• It is one seductive scent
• The bottle is the cutest ever perfume bottle I have seen
• Stays for good 12 hours or more
• Compact I can put the bottle in my bag and carry it and use it any time during the day, it would not spill
• It is so small that you can put it in a clutch bag and carry it with you to the party in nigh time.
• The colour. Such a pretty purple colour.
• Availability: widely available in India and at airports all over.
Bad of Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet Perfume
• Nothing really. Just that this again is not my best .I still have not found the perfume bottle which I can wear all seasons all time all occasions. I REMEMBER sniffing Carolina Herrera 212 sexy women in a mall once. I think that would be the IT scent for me.
