As the winter is in its full swing these days, I am busy in finding best body lotion and body butter to nourish my skin. This winter my skin has become drier and patchy. If I forget to moisturise it time to time, it becomes very dry and flaky. For the rescue, I chose my all time favourite Palmer’s. Today, I’ll be reviewing a lotion perfect for very dry skin in winters: “Palmer’s Shea Formula with Vitamin E Raw Shea Body Lotion”.

My Experience with Palmer’s Shea Formula with Vitamin E Raw Shea Body Lotion:
Palmer’s Shea Formula with Vitamin E Raw Shea Body Lotion comes in a pale cream coloured flat plastic bottle. The bottle is quite big to last one complete season. It comes packed in a transparent plastic sheet, which is not very classy. But, Palmer’s has never been too focused on pretty packaging. The bottle comes with a flip cap and stickers of details on either side, nothing fancy or too much but basic. The flip cap is sturdy and closes with a click sound, thus making the lock safe.
I am obsessed with Shea butter and this was my main reason to buy this lotion. The lotion is pale cream in colour and has a thick consistency. Despite being a thick lotion, it gets absorbed quickly. After spreading, it is colourless and no colour tinge can be seen anywhere.
The fragrance is so nutty and sweet that you can’t resist from smelling your hand like a thousand times after applying. It gets spread evenly on the skin leaving yummiest fragrance of all. It does not make the skin feel sticky, but soft and supple. It gets absorbed in few minutes leaving a hydrated body.
You can see in the swatch that my skin have become very dry. So, I have to reapply it after 5-6 hours. Here, the claim of 24 hour moisturisation doesn’t apply. For very dry skin, reapplication is a must. Still I like the fact that it doesn’t make the skin sticky or oily, as body butters do. Because of this I think all skin type beauties can give it a try this winter. I use it in day time and at night time, I use heavy body butter to give more nourishment for my dry skin.
All I can say is that it is a thick moisturising lotion which feels very light on skin and gives well moisturised skin for good 5-6 hours. As my skin is very dry these days, I will say 5-6 hours. And yes, the yummy fragrance is also a plus point.
