Revlon ColorStay Shadow Links Seafoam Review

Hello everyone 🙂

Today I will be reviewing an eye shadow from Revlon. I do not use eye makeup on a daily basis, that explains my lack of reviews on eye makeup products 😀 . That is because I have watery eyes, with oily lids and most importantly sensitive ones. I underwent Lasik surgery a year ago, and ever since then I take a step back when it comes to eye makeup. I got this shadow as I wanted to match my makeup with my dress for a party. Heading to the review.

My Take on Revlon ColorStay Shadow Links Seafoam:

Packaging: I cannot stop adoring the cute little thing. I cuddle it so much that I’m afraid I may break it anytime soon. It is a small little case with a lid that is extremely sturdy, and shuts firmly with a satisfying click. A sticker with the shade number is used as a seal. There are grooves at the sides which are probably made to fit the other cuties. It is very compact, and travel friendly. Only thing is that it is so small that you may tend to lose it 😀 .

Shade: Seafoam is a greenish-blue shade with fine silver micro-shimmers in it. It is a very pale shade and appears to look chalky when more of it is dabbed. It has a whitish hue to it. This will complement neutral and cool skin tones more than warm tones.

Texture and pigmentation: I assumed the texture would be very smooth, but I felt it slightly gritty. It doesn’t glide to my expectations but it is not too hard either. It is mildly pigmented and the actual color seen in the case barely shows up. The actual color vanishes upon blending.

Lasting power: It does have some fallout here and there even with a base, without a base it just disappears. It lasts about 2 hours max on my lids with a proper base, which is average. I think the lasting power could’ve been better with minimal fallouts. At this price and overloaded cuteness I’m not complaining!

Cons of Revlon ColorStay Shadow Links Seafoam:

  • Actual color vanishes when smudged and needs to be built up.

IMBB Rating:

3/5

Would I recommend/repurchase Revlon ColorStay Shadow Links Seafoam?

This would make a good highlighter; it is a pretty shade but lacks pigmentation. Warm tones can give this a pass. Ladies experimenting on eye makeup can give this a shot.

Take care. 🙂
