RiRe Pink Brown Lip Manicure High Fix Review

This is the second shade that I had picked up from the Korean brand Rire. One of my favorite youtubers constantly reviews these amazing finds from the Korean beauty market and the product in this post is one such find. The cute packaging and beautiful colors inspired me to buy two colors from this brand.  Read on for more details on the shade “Pink Brown.”

My Take on RiRe Pink Brown Lip Manicure High Fix:

Packaging: I love Korean beauty products because of their cute packaging. The product comes in a round pot and the brush is attached to the black cap. The applicator brush is similar to what you see in Colorbar lip stains and good for precise application, but the cap is tiny and a bit tricky to work with. Overall, the packaging is a total score.

Texture: It is very smooth to apply, reminds me of Peripera Lip Tint except that it is way more pigmented. It does not tug on dry lips and a lip balm underneath is not mandatory. Another great feature of this product is that it dries in a matter of seconds and when we rub our lips together or smack them, they do not stick together or appear tacky.

Color: The color is pretty, pink with warm brown undertones and I was very confident that it would look pretty on me, but unfortunately, the shade is bit too pale for my skin tone and should have had more brown than pink to live up to its shade name. The shade should look pretty on lighter skin tones but not mine or darker than mine.

Pigmentation: Awesome pigmentation and it perfectly camouflages my pigmented lips. A small quantity is enough to cover my lips and is easy to spread with fingers before it dries.

Shimmer and Shine:  It has no shimmer or shine whatsoever. On first swatch, it might appear a little wet or shiny; however, in a couple of seconds, it dries out into a smooth, velvet matte finish.

Fragrance: I love the smell – it smells of vanilla yogurt and is perfect ambrosia for lips. The smell fades a little, but still traces of it linger till removed.

Wear Time: One needs a very good makeup remover to remove or it won’t budge at all. It might fade a little if one consumes oily food, but otherwise it does not budge at all. In fact, it is little too stubborn to remove.

I am really happy that I bought this product and I am so thankful to the Korean beauty blogger who introduced me to this product.

Pros of RiRe Pink Brown Lip Manicure High Fix:

• Super cute jar packaging.
• Color is visible through the clear pot and makes identification easier.
• Pretty warm color but is too pale for my skin tone and looks a bit garish – I have to layer it on a darker toned lip liner to make it wearable.
• Has an amazing frozen yogurt fragrance.
• Just a bit goes a long way.
• Perfect for pigmented lips.
• Absolutely waterproof and smudgeproof.
• Easy on pocket.
• Available in 10 shades.

Cons of RiRe Pink Brown Lip Manicure High Fix:

• Color does not suit my skin tone.
• A bit too difficult to remove – I wish it was as easy to remove as it is to apply.
• The cap is a bit too small and does not give a good grip.

Would I Repurchase RiRe Pink Brown Lip Manicure High Fix?

Not this shade, but would love to stock up all the other shades.
