As promised, today I will be reviewing another new shade from Sephora’s Cream Lip Stain. Recently, Sephora launched 27 new shades of their cream lip stains and I picked up 9 of them. The shade that I will be reviewing today is African violet.

My Experience with Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain – 12 African Violet:
Packaging: These have a very classic packaging with a see through tube and a black twist up cap. The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of the tube and the range name is mentioned around the tube. The Sephora brand name runs across the cap. The applicator of Sephora’s Cream Lip Stain is a standard doe foot applicator.
Texture: The shade African Violet is a vibrant lavender purple colour, this is quite a unique shade and I don’t own any shade similar to this. I think it will suit every skin tone. The texture of Sephora’s Cream Lip Stain is a mousse-y texture and goes on super easily and smoothly on the lips. These are highly pigmented and deliver full coverage in a single swipe.
It dries down within 1 minute and settles into a matte finish. It does not settle into fine lines of my lips and feels comfortable on the lips throughout the day. These have a cake batter scent which fades away after application. When it comes to lasting power, these last all day long and are transfer proof. I get full 9 to 10 hours and these do survive heavy meals. You do need to prep your lips prior the application since these cling onto the dry patches on the lips.
